  1. thanks for the response marv. I figured this was the case but figured id ask anyways.
  2. anyone have any success stories on refinancing ur auto loan after chap 7 bk. I have a car at 20% apr but I really wanna keep the car. I'm not upside down and have zero lates. anyone know about how long I need to wait before I can try to refinance? and any banks or credit unions to use? I burned nfcu so I can't use them. a local CU said they like to see a year off history after bk. but if I can refinance sooner that, that would be great. thanks.
  3. I just filed chap 7. discharge 2/12. if I get a car loan and have a cosigner with like a 700+ credit score. would it be a dramatic decrease in my apr or would it just help a little bit? thanks.
  4. so I filed chapter 7 in November. I had a car but just got in an accident it. insurance company hasn't even looked at the car and said it's probably going to be totaled. the cars worth about 33kish. they said they will inspect to see if it's repairable but their computer generated guesser is saying it's going to be a total loss. thing is I look at the car and it seems like it's repairable below the 70% value mark. anyways I talked to a dealership just because I thought i needed a new car. I did a new fresh start loan with my wife on a new car. I assume the dealership told the loan company that I was going to surrender my original vehicle, or it was going to be totaled and paid off. I'm sure he said I was surrending my vehicle even though I never told him that was my intention if the vehicle was repairable. question is if they fix my first vehicle and I keep it can i get the loan unwound for the new vehicle we just purchased, on the grounds that I'm keeping my first car and I probably am not qualified for 2 car payments? any help or insight would be grateful. thanks. I really wanna keep my original car and see if the lender will unwind the deal on the new car if I tell them im going to keep my oeiginal car. I don't want 2 car payments. I'd like to keep the original car if possible. but I guess if the old car gets fixed and new car lender says no I can just sell old car as it has some equity. since my wife cosigned on the new loan could they say oh well you guys can afford two car loans so you're stuck with the loan. sorry I'm all over the place lol. I hope my message came out clear.

  6. I'm 28 and make about 3500 a month right now. I don't pay for housing and my credit is average. I had a car loan with nfcu for 30k and approved me for a second car loan at 8,000. Granted I have a good auto loan history, I don't think it should be a problem for you. But, I'm sure it depends on the lender and you score/history with them.
  7. First of all, ask yourself if you really need a brand new 30k+ car right now? Second, with the down payment I don't think it should be an issue. Money talks and putting around 30% down - they will do their best to find a loan. I was in the same situation as you a few years ago. They got me an 11% apr but I refi'd six months later. I put 10k down on a used car at 28k.
  8. ive had the same problems. i got 2 ccs from usaa and thats it. they never approved me for a auto refi while nfcu refid me at 2.29%. it's fine with me, ill go stick with nfcu.
  9. not 100% sure if all leases are reported monthly. It wouldn't hurt to call the finance company and ask.
  10. I was looking at a laptop on Amazon and saw that if you use your Amazon Chase Visa card that you can save $50. So I applied and got the we will let you know response. I called Amazon but they said that I was declined and they couldn't see why. I thought this was a load so I called the Chase back door number. They put me on hold for about 8 minutes and came back and said I was approved for $3000. Not bad at all.
  11. Grats! i just refinanced by 2011 mitsubishi lancer evo gsr with nfcu for 2.29%. I had 5.9% with Mitsubishi Motor Credit. I'm stoked on that as well!
  12. i'm about 99% sure that Amex bases its CLI's from your card usage. Just like your charge cards spending limit increases with how much you use/pay off the card, I think the same thing goes with their revolving cards.

  14. I love Chase because they are very military friendly. I'm at 6% on all 3 of my cards. I did have like the default apr of 29% before though :s
