Should I risk being asked to be an authorized user on my wife’s Delta Platinum Amex?

I have been hesitant to have my wife add me as an AU to her Amex cards since I BK7 them in 2005. After I pay down the balance of a zero percent interest balance transfer I plan to test the waters by applying for an Amex myself. But is there anything stopping me from just adding her cards to my ApplePay and using that in grocery stores and restaurants? Thanks.

I have thought about that. Probably the Green Card. The CLEAR benefit would pay for the fee. And it wouldn’t be risking an application for something we want even more like their Platinum card. To do a Columbo, there is just one more thing. My BK was in 2005, would it make sense to wait 20 years until 2025? Thanks everyone, you have been helpful.

I BK’ed 7 Amex in 2005. We are Costco members. When stock dropped Amex my wife was issued an Amex Blue Everyday and I was added on as an authorized user. I don’t think I was one before that . Is there any risk for my wife’s Amex card if she asks for me to be an authorized user on her Delta Amex, please? Thanks.

Have you ever gotten a retention bonus for threatening to cancel a no-fee card
-
I have enough age and available credit there are a couple/three cards with low limits that are young that are more bothersome to maintain than they are worth. They are all low value rewards cards. I was wondering if threatening to cancel them might get me a bonus of a few points, no interest, or something else of value. Has anyone have real world experience with this, please? We can all speculate all day so what I am looking for is real world experience. Thanks.

The initial response said nothing but later she got a letter. It said it was because she missed a payment in the last 30 days. She called them and pointed out she was on autopay for the card she already has. She also clarified the total family income and assets. She got the card. She did “credit” me for encouraging her to call back. We are going to 90K points and all the benefits! THank you all for your help, and support. -
