I sent a second letter to all 3 CRAs asking them to describe their method of verification and as of now only TU responded with a letter calling it "frivolous." Trying to figure out my next step...

I've been working on my credit for months now a d I'm a little bummed because my credit went up 18 points but as of recently dropped back down from 44 points! Feeling a little discouraged

We all get discouraged at one point or another, hang in there when you get to overwhelmed take a break from your credit repair and regroup. I would enckurage you to read the section of the FTC Law about Method of verification that the CRA has to provide when requested. I am quite sure there is a thread on this subject, if all else fails google it. It sometimes take several letters to the CRA to get their attention so dont give it. Good luck

I have gotten frivolous letters from all the cra's disreguard them as they are just a smoke screen wait a month and resend a new letter, TU told me my judgement dispute was frivolous 2 times then i called in and spoke with a supervisor and it got removed.

Thanks everyone! So I've never heard if a 623 letter but I will look it up on creditboards. Also if it gets to the point where I might to call the CRAs what should say to them?

Just checked out a 623 letter...would I send this to a collection agency or JDB or is it only for the original creditor. Almost all of my accounts I'm that I am trying to remove are in collections or with a JDB.

You are mistakenly ascribing a human emotion (being upset) with a business (TransUnion).

Go back to attacking with facts and be tenacious and you should prevail.

I'd like to suggest that cleaning your credit and judging your progress by watching every point increase or decrease in your score is like getting healthy and judging your progress by the bathroom scale. It is a much bigger picture than the FICO, expecialy at this stage of the game.
