Very strange stuff going on with my credit reports lately. I pulled my reports a couple weeks ago and went ahead and started disputing online. Well something happened, because my credit scores were all around the high 500 low 600 range. I went to credit check and signed up after I just canceled true credit today.

I was shocked to see my equifax score jumped to 727. In 2 weeks? I dont know what happened, but the only thing I see is that the 2 charge off accounts (500 and 1000) from about 6 years ago, are both being reported as never late and paying as agreed. Strange.

I have a mortgage 2 years old, no lates. Auto loan 2 years old, no lates. I am an authorized user on an amex card, which has been reporting for a while, never late.

Two questions I have. Do I trust this Equifax score of 727 when TU and EXP are 590 each? And if so, does anyone know of a good credit card that will only pull from Equifax? I dont have a credit card of my own at the moment and if I could get a good card with a decent limit, I would do it now.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer

it sounds like you are looking at "fake" scores since there is no way for the consumer to easily see his or her EX FICO score. FAKO scores are not used by lenders.

there is a sticky at the top of the main credit forum page with discount codes for you to order your FICO score.

You need to get your reports directly from Equifax, Experian and Trans Union. You can get them free once a year at annualcreditreport.com and you need to get your real scores from myfico (link in my signature).

But still, there is probably something you are missing on TU and Exp, for the FAKO scores to be so different.

well i went to myfico and it gave me my equifax score of 599. How can there be so much of a difference between this and creditcheck?

Nothing abnormal there at all. They're using two completely different algorithms.

THE BIG 3 ARE ALL DIFFERENT

THE F.I.C.O. SCORES ARE ALL DIFFERENT

Show me somebody who has 3 identical credit reports...

Show me somebody with 3 identical scores...(when you could get all 3)

I WILL SHOW YOU SOMEBODY WHO HAS NO CREDIT (like a 12 year old kid)

I understand scores will be different, but I am confused as to how when I went to CreditCheck, it gives me a score of 727, which indicates excellent credit, and myFico reports 599 which is horrible. And on top of it, the 24 month history of the charge off cards 6 year ago show current, and paying as agreed.

How can Creditcheck advertise this kind of crap? The Equifax score is obviously wrong. Its not even close. Kind of misleading dont you think?

The monitoring services are using their own scoring models, which are not based on FICO.

F.I.C.O. vs F.A.C.O. +/-111

Well I thought FACO would give you an idea of what your FICO would be. I am just shocked there is a 138 point difference between the two. 727 and 589.

But TU and EXP FACO and FICO were pretty close.

The survey "WAS" +/-111

138 is a BIG difference
