Pulled all my Credit Scores...two (Experian Vantage and EQ FICO) were great, but my TU was WAY lower than the others....

Seems there is a "Med1" Collection on it. It says the account has been "placed for Collection". It lists the OC (Something called ACL) but only gives the address and phone # of a collection agency. (not one of the major ones).

The thing I don't understand is: Who owns this alleged account...the OC(ACL???) or the CA?

Don't I need to find that out before I start the HIPPA process?

Thanks for any advice, info....Why Chat, what do YOU think?

Anyone?

The very nature of the HIPAA dispute process will establish any relationship (if any) between the CA and the OC.

Have you disputed old addresses and opted out yet? If not, do that first. If so, send the pre-HIPAA letter to any CRA that is currently reporting the tradeline.

I'm pretty much DONE with all my credit repair, which is why this is so disturbing.....done all the opted out a while ago, most baddies gone, all addresses et al,

So...first the CRA letter..?

UPDATE:

Well, it's been 17 days now and CSC still doesn't show receipt of the dispute, BUT

I got an alert, and it seems my TU score is up 28 points!

Hmmmmmm.....gonna pull the report on next Wednesday to see if they deleted....no correspondence from ANYONE on these yet.

Unfortunately, tho, EQ just marked it "being reinvestigated" (whatever that means)...????

So the saga continues....

Neuither EQ OR TU has actually written back to ME about it......

They are not going to write to YOU until the re-investigation is over. If you call them or go on line or contact them it will only extend the investigation time.

Well, STILL haven't heard from CSC/EQ.

However, on my trimerge report this morning on EQ the "reinvestigation in progress" has been changed to "Medical-unpaid.." which seems to imply that it's been "verified......" Nothing official yet, but this IS disturbing.

It is STILL gone from TU....Hope they don't re-insert......

EQ score went from 606 to 663!!!!!!

Edited: Say, Why Chat: shouldn't I get something in writing from EQ or TU at some point since they deleted? Or should I just be happy, print the reports and rejoice?

The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

HOWEVER, the fact that you did not get a "deletion" letter from them means that they COULD reinsert it in the future IF the verification data comes in to them ( which I doubt).

Print the reports, keep them for at least 3 years.
