My wife and I need a student loan for about 30-40K. It will go under my wifes name.

We both have 750 FICO scores with perfect credit.

We need the quickest, lowest hassle situation.

What school do you recommend? We prefer online registration in California.

What bank is the easiest and quickest to deal with?

Maybe no income verification.. etc.

Thanks

You have to be kidding me!! It this a joke?? Sounds like you are setting up a scam.

Reading thru this it has to be a joke. Generally you borrow aid based on enrollment and you apply for private loans after you have completed a FAFSA and have been accepted to a school and have received your federal aid first. What you are asking just screams fraud.

this isnt a scam, you toolbox LOL :clapping: but nice try!

Its for the Nouveau Riche University, a real estate investing college. The tuition is 16K and the books are 3500. However I cannot get a student loan and say that I am attending that university because it hasnt gotten fully approved by the ACE yet, so I have to get the loan from somewhere else.

We already got a 25K loan from Wells Fargo and said that we were attending another college in the continuing education program. So I really dont need your assistance any more but thanks for jumping to the conclusion that this is a scam LOL..

But what you are doing is still FRAUD....thus you are scamming money!

When you borrow funds it is for the school that you list on the application. So when Wells gets notice that you didnt attend the school listed on the application, dont be surprised when they ask for all the funds back immediately.

Nouveau Riche University is not even a school from what I read by googling. There are lots of complaints. $16000 for a 20 day program??

What is Nouveau Riche University?

Nouveau Riche University is a new multilevel marketed real estate investment program. It consists of three primary parts: a course that claims to teach people how to invest in real estate, a "community" of "investors" who have access to their database of properties to purchase ("Investor Concierge"), and the marketing of the course and community through standard multilevel marketing techniques.

The course is not inexpensive, ranging from $300 per month to a $16,000 one-time payment, depending on the "level" you wish to join at. The level primarly affects how quickly the individual begins getting money from people that they sign up (their downline) and whether they get to see the properties available for purchase first, or after members who are at higher levels.

At the $16,000 level (which of course is strongly encouraged), you receive $8,000 for every person you sign up below you after the first two (the $8,000 from each of the first two goes to the person who signed you up, your "mentor"). So if you can manage to sign up 4 people, you've broken even, and you have full top-priority access to Investor Concierge, which allows you to buy properties in their database, sight-unseen if you wish. You also get 20 days of intensive training in real estate investing, access to conference calls, etc.-- all the things you need to help you succeed in real estate investing (and/or marketing the system, presumably).

But is it really possible to make money investing in real estate using this system? And if it is, why do the principals in the company bother selling the course? Why not just buy the properties themselves? The sales pitch says they are "paying it forward" and have altruistically decided to let others become rich too. This is certainly possible. Other explanations are also possible.

In other words, a product-based ponzi scheme. You possibly committed fraud by obtaining an education loan from Wells Fargo under false pretense. You do realize a loan obtained with false information isn't dischargable in BK, don't you?

That is, if we file BK which we wont and never plan on doing. We have perfect credit and paying back student loans or our bills isnt an issue for us.

It seems to me that the real fraud is when you guys take out student loans and dont repay them and then come on this board looking for ways out of the debt.

That is the real hard truth.

Hard times. :dntknw:

Hard times my flowers. The real truth is you don't have a clue what this board is about. If that's what you think we do here, I suggest you head for the door. It's this way------------->. More posts like that and I'll be glad to show it to you.

If you had READ any of this board, people come here with the knowledge that they HAVE to pay their loans but want to understand their options. Very rarely does anyone come here trying to get out of it....it is very public knowledge that you cannot get out of your student loan debt.

You on the other hand, are committing FRAUD.

Wells Fargo is gonna love it when they find out the school they are directly issuing a check to shows no enrollment, no registration, and no acceptance for the student named....

And theyre gonna love it when we pay the loan off in a few months too. Blah blah blah.. You guys love to bash. Its classic. Please kill this post and do me as well. Jesus. LOL

Nope, this post needs to stay as a testimonial on what NOT to do. You on the other hand, I have no problem getting rid of.

Well a default is going to look great on your credit when they call the loan in due to lack of registration.

Hey Cynic...On federal applications it states there are penalties of 1 year in prison and $10,000 for student loan fraud. Anything like this on a private loan??

Posted

For private loans they don't legally have to put any criminal warnings in big bold print like with the Title IV loans... private loan contracts usually have verbiage about how any statements and representations are under penalty of perjury, and any false communication with lender = immediate default.

Although private student loan fraud isn't a federal offense, giving false info to obtain credit is a crime, and for amounts over $1,000 it's usually a felony.

I wonder if banks accept payments with checks written by someone with a cell block in their address field...

And I just gotta know, if someone can pay off a loan in a few months, why not just save up for a few months...

Oh, and what's that I smell... the bowel movements of a horned quadruped perhaps?

Wow... Just noticed the original date of the post.

I think it's funny Mayor McCheese inadvertently bumped his own post after posting how s/he was openly committing fraud.

How did this all work out in the end, Mayor? It's been about a year since you last posted. Were you just released?
