I wanted to get some input here. I'm calling my attorney on Monday but here's the deal. I checked our credit report yesterday only to find one of our creditors that was included in our BK 3 years ago, has reported the account to the CRA's as a charge off! Not only that, they changed the account # on the account by just a few numbers (on the end of it). I have my dispute letters ready after reading through PsychDoc's course but my concern is, are they going to just continue to report it every once in a while to the CRA's? What do I do about the changed account #? It's such crap! We have been working so hard to get our credit score up since the BK and this pisses me off! Thanks for any thoughts!

Changing the account numbers to attempt to circumvent a BK discharge isn't something a BK judge is going to smile upon. That's a deliberate attempt to undermine the federal court's authority. Naughty naughty.

Dispute it, see what you get.

Then send the OC a letter informing them that you've noted the switcheroo. Give them a deadline to make things right, or your att'y will have a federal BK judge do it for them.

Then if they don't correct their error- do it.
