Can you give us a brief synopsis of your D & B profile, how many TL reporting, how long you have been in Biz, when did you first start building credit ?

Thanks

I t hink that I have 6 reporting but could be 5. I incorporated in 2001 and received my d&b number in the later part of december. I think I started building in feb. I did not purchase creditbuilder. I have the following accounts but I am unsure of who is reporting because the free report does not list the vendors:

nebs

viking

staples

ups

kinkos

uline

rapid forms

lowes (just got that one)

fedex (i haven't shipped anything and they refused to bill me)

I think that's it.

radio shack

texaco

sears

home depot

office depot

office max

nordstrom's

macy's

jc penny

conoco

union 76

speedway

phillips 66

wright express

I will let you guys know how it goes as I acquire each card. I am also get more info on preferredlease.com and see what they want to get lines of credit. I'd like to get an auto lease and lines of credit for electronics for computers. I really don't know where to start on that latter part but if the above company is legit, then they should be able to help.

I'll have my ebay business open yet! :)

So I decided "What the heck". Went to preferredlease.com and filled out application, instantly approved 75,000. They said based on DnB. I am seriously considering a new car and will probably lease thru the company.

Will wait on the materials to see what you really have to do to actually fund the lease and what the rates are.

As noted in a previous thread, please check out the company, preferredlease.com aka capitalwerks before sending them ANY MONEY.

I have heard about these companies taking deposits to find funding for you and then come back and say that the company financials that you included on an application weren't verified as true and they keep the deposit. Please be careful, remember if it seems to go to be true...

Following info found at www.bbb.com

We rate this company has having an unsatisfactory business record.

Most complainants allege the company failed to fund the leases and then refused to refund deposits. Complainants contend the company solicited them for a lease agreement requiring a deposit of the first and last months rent along with a processing fee. According to most complainants, when the company is unable to fund the leases, they promise to make refunds but fail to do so. Most people complain that the company does not return telephone calls..

The company responded to some complaints by issuing refunds for the deposits and, in some cases, the processing fees. In other cases, they refused to make any refunds claiming that the customer provided false information or refused to proceed with the lease, even though the terms were changed. Some complaints remain unanswered.

The Better Business Bureau does not endorse, recommend or disapprove of any company, product or service.

I am curious about their lease rates. My customers deal with lease companies on a regular basis so I can get lease rates to compare.

My company also carries our own software leases so I pretty much know the market rates.

If they provide a decent rate, it will be worth looking into. If not, trash can.

So, basically it has taken you 3 months to get a Paydex from the time you got your first trades, right????? Hmmmmm...so I could be looking at a Paydex by July?? Sweet deal!!! CONGRATS!!!

Posted

It could have been more like 2 months because I started at the end of feb. and even though I got and paid on 3 accounts, I don't think they reported until the end of that following month. Personally, I say screw paying for creditbuilder. If you've got the time, you can build it the old way and come out cheaper!
