  1. What intrigues me most about henna is that it's natural. I'm not interested in using chemicals in my hair. I'm slowly leaning towards trying this but am still doing a lot of research.
  2. Thanks for the info, Marilie. I am interested in using it on all of my hair as the gray is mixed in throughout all of it, just not localized in the streak. I've read up on henna and realize that I'll need to add some indigo so I'm not shining bright red. I'm just concerned about the wide, white streak and how that will blend in with my dark brunette hair. Will the streak be lighter and stand out, like a burgundy streak instead of white? I will also do some reading on the website you recommend.
  3. Confession time. I'm almost 37 and am about 40% gray. It's mainly localized as a wide streak on the top but also concentrated around my crown. It's more white, but whatever. My hair is dark brunette, slightly longer than shoulder length. IMO, I have smooth, rosy skin, zero wrinkles and people are always shocked when they hear my age and assume I'm much younger than 37. (Side note: people are nosy and very inquisitive about my gray hair, hence all the questioning about my age. :eyeroll: ) So twice now I have been referred to as someone's mom. The most recent time involved someone telling my younger boyfriend, while standing in a waiting room, that "your mom will be out shortly". Enough is enough. I have never dyed my hair nor ever thought that I would dye it. But now that I am getting older, I feel as if my gray hair is aging me. My gray hair is also quite unruly and wiry. I feel like it makes an initial first impression that I am much older, no matter how youthful I think I am in the face. I am interested in using henna on my hair. Keep in mind I have a very wide, pronounced streak of white. I am not interested in shocking red streak. In researching henna and also this thread http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=448489&hl=henna, I have found that henna would be best for achieving the type of coloring that I want. If I worked up the courage to do this, I would definitely do a hair strand test. My question lies in...how does it work on gray/white hair?
  4. If you're not in to football, I can see how this wouldn't appear to be newsworthy but, to those of us that like football, it's interesting. As the Heisman runner-up and a prospective top pick in the NFL draft, this story could very much impact Te'o's future, especially his future earnings. It's a top sports news story ... right up there with Lance Armstrong (finally) admitting to doping. I am into football. Been watching ever since the Steelers were called "The Iron Curtain." I rank this right up there with Joe Namath's pantyhose. Ahem, Steel Curtain. Not to be nitpickey about it.
  5. Yep, my last LTR broke up because he thought I would eventually "come around". NOPE. I've always said that if men were the ones dealing with menstruation, pregnancy and birth, the world would be a very different place.
  6. Post of the century!
  7. Well, except for this issue, I really like my PCP. I've been going to her since 1998. We discussed this issue at length and we decided to go another route for BC. In another 10 years, she will then give me the big snip. I'm extremely satisfied with my decision, albeit temporary. Nem -- my last LTR ended because the guy was adamant about having children. So they are out there...and I happened to find one of them.
  8. One of my friends wanted a vasectomy in his mid 20s. He was unmarried with no kids, and the doctors refused. I've asked my PCP several times for sterilization and she has refused. (I'm 36 btw.)
  9. Don't even get me started on this! This is my #1 hot button issue when others choose to meddle in my life and ask such inane things. I have many anti-child groups on FB, and whenever this topic comes up, you're the first person I think of. Then I chuckle. I've been dating someone for 3 weeks now and already had someone ask me if we've thought about the future yet. Curiosity killed the cat and I just had to inquire as to what they meant...they were inferring marriage and children. WTFBBQ?!?!?!?! It's safe to assume they didn't like my answer.

  11. That led to one of the TV worst finales in history...?
  12. I'm not gonna front. I'm a proud exhibitor of the 70's era style.
  13. So sorry to hear about your loss, gems.
  14. You are wrong. I do not have any such signage on my property yet you are not welcome on it.
  15. This isn't the safest nor smartest thing to do, but if I were you, I'd approach the vehicle and inquire as to their intentions. (Now, I'm also a gun owner and CWP owner and would be discreetly carrying when I approached the vehicle.)
