Need some advise on what to do, when the CMRR letter is returned.

Here's the scenario. I have sent the CA a nutcase series letter 1 in dec last week for a paid collection. I have received the green card in jan 1st week. After that I never heard back from them and no change in the reports.

So, I sent them a second letter for DV. This time I got the letter back. They refused to take the letter :good: What is the next step ?

You can send it again.........

Or send 2 letters this time. Send the second one with delivery confirmation.

They dont have to sign for it and you should have proof of delivery if you track it online.

WAS IT "REFUSED"

or

WAS IT JUST NOT PICKED UP???

or

DOES IT SAY SOMETHING LIKE "MOVED NO FORWARDING ADDRESS"

Hmmm.........

Not sure what that means either. I even looked on yahoo.

I would call the Post Office tommorow and just ask what it means in general. They dont have to know all you details, unless you want to tell them.

It says Forward Expired. I really don't have a clue what that means, I thought they refused.

It means exactly that...their forward has expired. Forwards are only good for 1 year.

GOOD!!!

MAKE A COPY OF THE FRONT AND BACK (of the envelope) AND SEND THE COPIES TO THE CRA AND DEMAND REMOVAL!!!

THE US POST OFFICE SAYS THEY DON'T LIVE AT THE ADDRESS THAT YOU ARE REPORTING!!!

Do I need to write a simple letter saying the CA doesn't exist in the address mentioned in the Credit Reports and they failed to prove the debt is mine so please delete it. Or do I need to include any laws or violations. Can you please take time to explain me further or direct me a sample letter. Just being cautious.

SAME SCENERIO: CRA always verifying tradeline yet my address / dispute always returned to me "not deliverable" (local business and I KNEW the address on record was no good, just had to prove it). Well, sent ALL CRA's a copy of the returned mail, actually I did this twice in two different instances - all three CRA's sent me letters telling me that "the information supplied to them by me was invalid". Flatly: they would NOT use the proof. MMV.

What would a person do next??

The CRA's are now in violation of the law.

They care compeled by the FCRA to accpet any information the consumer suplies them.

FCRA 611 ( a ) ( 4 ).

They must also provide the reason for their determination. Invalid doesnt say much of anything.

I know there is a letter someone posted on here for such a case.
