Bank Of America scrambled my business application pretty good - although it's done and I have the card (and have used it), I got a post-use dated underwriting letter asking for information!

Fun.

But anyway, the letter says they obtained a credit report from this firm:

Advanced Resolution Services, Inc.

6111 Oak Tree Boulevard

Independence, OH 44131

(800) 392-8911

Anybody know anything about this firm and what kind of data they keep? Persona? Business? Both? Neither?

their kind of like a chexsystems....silent till you get declined or otherwise used against you....

My situation was a shade different - they wanted additional info from me and apparently couldn't figure out how to dial my phone. So they sent me what I'd call a conditional decline - i.e., call us to find out what info we want, or we'll assume you don't want the card. In the letter they disclosed consulting two CRAs, and Advanced Resolution Services was one of the two.

But still, creepy.

I would like the same answers. Who IS Advanced Resolution Services? I've never been contacted by them nor I have I contacted them. I pay monthly for credit reports from TransUnion, Experian and Equifax. I just started a very small business out of my home, have an excellent credit score well into the mid-700s. I've had credit since I was 18 (some 40 years now) and I am DENIED because of information provided by this dark horse???? The reasons given were absurd--I have no delinquent accounts on the Big Three mentioned, and my home telephone number is exactly that...MY home telephone number, unlisted and not listed for any other address else. USBank denied the credit. So, before I cancel the other accounts with USBank, can anyone tell me something about Advanced Resolution Services???

you have a question or concern?? trying to understand the reason for the bump

so now my bumps are reported :)

IIRC there was another thread on the topic being discussed and this one seemed worthy of a bump. some people seem to think this CRA does not matter. Bumping a thread that suggests otherwise is a way to inform them they are wrong. I have often been slammed for suggesting consumers need to be proactive in protecting their interests regarding CRAs. You could always use a PM if you want me to explain myself. No reason to make this all public.
