TU doesn't have bk but one account says "unrated or bk&
Christi523 replied to jdf's topic in Credit Forum
I believe it won't affect the fico score, but YES the creditor will see the notation. It's incorrect-so dispute it! Also, with EQ and EXP, definitely no luck with the public record. I haven't given up though! My Exp has 2 negs-bk and sears. When I refinanced my home last month (5.5%-Yay!) I had a 694 on Exp. On EQ, I have 2 negs-bk and sears. That score was 688. My hubby has only the bk public record on all reports and no other negs. His scores are around the 700 mark on all reports. -

My BK was from 2001. The actual BK public record was deleted by chance after I disputed it. Lucked out I guess. If this was a positive account that was not included in the bk, then it wouldn't hurt to dispute. Right now, it is unrated so it won't affect your report either way. But I am sure if is updated to "paid as agreed" you may get a little boost in score. -

I have two accounts on TU with this remark as well (I did file bk on those accts). This account is listed under positive accounts when I received my report in the mail. I don't think it lowers the score at all since is is "unrated". My scores are in the high 700s -
I just found out that they use CareCredit. This is apparently the financing company used for many doctor's. Anyone know what report they may pull?

I wanted to find out if anyone had financing through Lasikplus for vision correction. I want to find out in advance what credit report will be pulled. Thank you!

We received our $800 check today. Already put it in the bank! Wow, that was really quick!

Ok, I called my cousin and asked her about the committment fee. I told her that I heard it was a "junk fee" . She was trying to tell me it had to to with the mortgage company I am refinancing with. Well she proceeds to tell me that she will ask someone in her office. (my cousin went from loan processor to mortgage broker just over a month ago) Anyway, she calls back, still with a confusing explanation that it is a fee her company charges, blah, blah, blah. Well bottom line, the committment fee is being removed! She appologized a few times. I know I am not paying any points, but I really expect my cousin, that I have been close to all my life, to be upfront and honest with me. I am now feeling she knew what this fee was (especially if she gets this fee). Thanks fla-tan. BTW, I am in the southern part of Maryland. I have lived here all my life (other than 1 year in Miami when I was 3!) Can't remember much except the lizards there!

In another thread, you mentioned to be careful junk fees, such as Committment fees. Well I have a good faith estimate with a 500.00 committment fee. What is this fee? My cousin is doing my loan, she is a mortgage broker. I think she should be honest about any junk fees and not try to screw me over.

YES! Hubby and I were both approved with Chapter 7 BK from 2001. We both had upper 600 scores with Equifax. We had several good accounts-some old and some new with low utilization. Also, a mortgage and car loan. I received 4000 and hubby 5000. He just got an increase to 6000 yesterday after 6 months! Good luck to you!

Sassy, Congrats to you! Hubby just applied for a Generations Visa with two year old BK reporting and "one included in BK". Generations supposedly will accept a bk if it is more than two years. TU fake score was 690 last time we checked. I will let you know the outcome.

Hubby had card for 8 months before getting 1,000.00 increase. He called a few times and was told they couldn't give him an increase. The last time he called, he told them he wanted to do a Balance Transfer. Well a few weeks later, we get a letter stating his cl was increased. So, basically, I would suggest you telling them you plan to do a BT and wait to see what happens.

If you are talking about Citibank, they almost always pull Equifax when you apply online. Hubby recently applied and we are in MD. Also, if you are talking about Generations-it's always TU.

For those of you who subscribe and still get unlimited pulls, do you get 3 softs with each pull? I have Equifax Consumer Services listed 3 times. One of these softs has the initials CP following it. This just started within the last week. Anyone know what it means? Thanks.

Martys girl Do you know how long new accounts have to age?? I have a relatively long history with low utilization but one of the NEG FICO factors is length of credit history due to new accts.

Hi Dogman! I haven't been posting much lately, but I had to sign on to Congratulate you! Before you know it, you will be in the 700 club!
