If the intent is making money, then you must specialize, a four year education is usually not enough. But I think education is very important because it places you on a small platform with a large pool of potential beneath you at all phases of your life, it allows you flexibilty and oppourtunity and regardless of the occupational situation you usually command the upper tier of a pay grade. All things being equal people with college degress excel more in society then without, period.
-
Japanese cars are overvalued and overprice IMO, when you compare them to their Euro counter parts. For me their tier structure to get additional features that really should be standard in this day and age has always bugged me, when German auto makers include many more luxuries in their base price points.
-
I am about to attend law and have inccured about 20k in udergraduate debt. Me paying half the tuition out of pocket with my company reimbursmant plan. It's sad that there are fewer and fewer lucrative careers out there that justify and four year education. I know many people who have concentrated on very narrow career fields exempting college successfully or atleats or atleast the traditional four year route.

Got Approved Online for CitiDividendPlat.....Then....
TopDoggy replied to ZBeeba's topic in Credit Forum
Just happened to me with nordstrom. Instant approval, call me to verify some info, congragulated me and told me my credit line, turned down their stupid product offer. Recieved a letter five days later and told me thanks but no thanks we can't extend you our card. -
I hear you, CITI used to kick me around up and down the block for many years. But all of a sudden I have been blessed a couple of times with their top teir card in the last six months. Go Figure.

Yes I want to keep the car, I am 41 years old, and have two bankruptcies from the past (this is before I found credit boards). I got a new Toyota Sequoia at a great rate 5.74% through PENFED, put up with JackXXX husband, have three wild babies.... and I deserve that car. The house, well I'm a little tired of living near Hilton Head Island, SC so I can move back where my family is at who love me and want me to leave this husband of 12 years. I just could kick my aXX for having once in my life all this available credit...... and once again, like a spoiled child, maxing it out because I didn't care about anything but my own needs. So that's why I'm like, do I start looking down bankruptcy AGAIN.... GOD NO!! Or just pay the minimums...... Hasn't anyone here gotten into a pickle by gambling online? I guess they wont tell, but they could IM me. UGH!!!!!! The things I could have bought for $20K+ dollars or at least put the cash in my own account!! I'm sorry for all your troubles and I hope you come out well, but as of right now you need to liquify everything and anything. INCLUDING the car which is not paid for. Short of that you are just denying the inevitable BK.

I think you need to fall on your sword my friend and not worry about being lectured. The most knowlegdable and experience people will usually slap you around a little while giving you life saving financial advice. If your in that much trouble I wouldn't worry about getting your ego singed and just concentrate on the nuggets. Trust me. And Good Luck!

I have a friend that to say the least, was betrayed by her ex-husband and mother as well. To make a long story short they used her SS# on different occasions to take out loans and creditcards with out her knowledege (which of course prior to CB College is no knowlegde at all in regards to credit responsibilty). But she had a great credit score and profile. Now it is trashed with collections and repos. All that being said we are on the road to recovery for her credit profile and score. What I would like some advice on is, what are some of the ways to protect your SS# or financial info once it has been comprimised already? How can we put a very tight lid on who has access to her credit info and use of it? Thanks as always.

Oh man sorry to hear that.. this is something we will definitely be keeping an eye on.

Getting up early. I have a cold coming on so I am planning on a pre-emptive strike with Thera-flu.
