  1. well, this is in NY, in fact in a very good area of NY too.
  2. I would explore a few cards that seem like good prospects, then check the credit pulls database to see which seems to be the most likely for you to get approved. Then I'd post back here with 1 or 2 specific cards you are seriously considering and see what people say. As far as Cap1 vs Hsbc, just go for whichever has a card you are more likely to get - they will both wind up becoming a Cap1 card shortly anyways.
  3. if that water has that much rust in it they seriously need to do something to address it. I doubt it's rust
  4. it almost sounds like they're claiming he chloroformed her with the handkerchief but then she also says he wiped his own face with it after he licked her so that doesn't make any sense.
  5. what kind of homework?
  6. Amex CreditSecure is almost identical to USAA's service. For 14.95 you can pull 3x a month, for 24.95 you can pull daily. You do need an Amex to get it though. Next best option I can think of is My Privacy Matters, which I believe currently goes for 15-20 a month depending on which reseller you get it from - last time I used it I got it through eliminate id theft - someone on here should have a link for it I can't find mine... *edit* I forgot to mention, MPM is almost identical to TrueCredit, if you have ever used that. I DON'T recommend using TrueCredit because there may be a correlation between using it and getting inquiries re-inserted by TransUnion after you have bumped them off. Also, there is SmartCredit, which is decent for monitoring, I forget how much the basic service is but the unlimited pulls version is called Premium and last I checked it was 30/month. They give you several pulls then when you run out you have to remember to email or call them and request more pulls which they will give you so just be aware of that.
  7. Anyone else think it's odd that she didn't object when he did this but then suddenly afterwards decided oh wait that was probably wrong?
  8. See, to me this says, good time to pick up some jpm stock

  10. It may very well stay on there until the 5 or 7 year mark depending on your state. You could try to dispute it off but paying it alone does not guarantee that they will have to remove it from your file unless you negotiated a pay for deletion and got it in writing.
  11. It's a tie between my Amex Blue Sky card and my chase Hyatt card... people seem to get a kick out of the Amex being partially transparent. The Hyatt card is just absolutely badass. Worst? Well, I never use these cards in person anymore but the Citi Dividend card looks like it stepped right out of 1985, and one of my capital one cards is AWFUL it's like white and gray. It looks as bad as the terms are...
  12. As if the ugly pink tile wasn't bad enough... I mean come on people make some kind of an effort if you wanna rent the place!!
  13. Crap I bet its from my dispute now that I think about it... I was trying to jack attack an account off because I cannot seem to get them to report it correctly and by questioning so many things, I wonder if they got even more negative information from the creditor and updated my account with it. Frustrating.
  14. *@#$! damn why did mine go down hrmphhh... I'm assuming it's related to my app spree but I don't really see how... Only one of the 4 new accounts I just got is actually reporting yet, and the additional credit limit it affords me combined with my PSECU credit limit doubling and that being reported, should have helped me. I only got 2 EX hards during my spree and I also had 2 EX hards fall off in the past week so they should have balanced out more or less. I understand that "recent" hards are supposedly more of a hit than older hards, but still this change in score can't be just from that, can it? I dropped 13 pts, was actually expecting it to go UP.
