  1. I just got a new auto loan from them in January. I applied online and was instantly approved, they never asked for documents.
  2. I hope MECU upgrades their online banking soon, it is seriously stuck in the stone age. I can't even pay my credit card directly on the site.
  3. Today I received a pre-approved offer in the mail for the Wal-Mart card. The envelope and inserts said "Just in time for Christmas!"
  4. Up 12 points to 679
  5. I just got a letter today informing me that they are opening a new branch in Glen Burnie, MD which is closer to my home than any other branch. I've never set foot in a NFCU branch so I might have to check it out when they open.
  6. That was one hell of a read!
  7. I lived solely on cash for the past several years as well. It is a helpful state of mind to have once you do get credit cards.
  8. I asked for an increase on my New York and Company and it was a soft. It only went from $300 to $500 though. My Victoria's Secret card gets regular automatic CLI's.
  9. I would just sock drawer it. I purposely got WFNNB cards at stores I don't shop that frequently at because I didn't want to be tempted. If I get an Express card (I really like Express), it might get maxed out lol I have a Victoria's Secret card and a New York and Company card. I've only used NY and Co once since I got it last year. I use Vicky Secret for an occasional bra and fragrance.
  10. I'm biding my time. I just got my cashRewards in July so I guess I'll have to wait.
  11. Do you have to pay your electric in full every month? I've lived in two states and both utility companies would keep you on if you give them at least something on the bill. I personally wouldn't do anything to get myself into anymore debt..... also are you going to be getting anything from your income taxes back in February? I would put it all on these bills if you can. A utility bill usually isn't on a credit report and accrues very little, if any, interest and fees for not being paid in full every month. In the meantime, the OP could be using that extra money to keep his credit from tanking further and accruing more interest. He/she is going to be in debt regardless, might as well keep the damage and fees from interest to a minimum. I understand but doing this kind of thing requires self control I don't know how the OP got into this situation but it looks like a little SC is needed. Also to me debt is debt and it can result in a large bill if handled incorrectly. I may be wrong but, OP I wouldn't not become indebted to anyone else unless I could get a loan to cover most or all of these cards. Just my opinion. But the same thing could be said for getting another loan. Debt is debt but debt with no interest is better than debt with tens or hundreds of dollars of interest. The person is going to be in debt either way, how much and what it does to the credit is the big question in this case. Some things are going to have to be shifted or juggled in the end.
