It's not a deliberate attempt to hide from my creditors. I moved. Unfortunately UPS Stores/USPS do not allow mail forwarding. I don't want to talk to them on MY phone. Once they know for sure that it's a valid number, I suspect I'll never have any peace no matter how many limited C&D's I send. I have no problem calling them from a payphone, provided I can FIND one.

I recently closed my UPS Store mailbox. My mail is not being forwarded as the USPS does not allow forwarding on PMB's. Since that time, a new CA has started calling me and leaving messages on my cell phone. I have not spoken to them or returned their calls. If they have sent any letters, I have not received them due to the closed mailbox. The UPS Store should have returned them to the sender as per their policy. I need to send this CA a DV and advise them of my new mailing address, but I need to know what account they are collecting on in order to properly dispute it, don't I? Without that info I won't know if the account is even mine, how many CA's have already dunned, how many have been DV'd within 30 days, whether validation was received, etc. They are not reporting....yet. Do I call them (from a pay phone)? What should I do? BTW, if it's mine, it's well within SOL. TIA!!

I'm having the same problem! I closed my MBetc/UPS Store box after many years and now have a PO Box. I'm sure the PO Box will eventually end up on my CR's and the mail from CA's will resume. However, I, too, am worried about the unintended consequences of failing to receive whatever mail they may send in the meantime. Am I worrying about nothing or is there something I should be aware of and prepare for? (BTW, I have a copy of my MBetc. cancellation form, and the "no forwarding" policy can be documented by the store and the USPS.)

Friday, huh?....Repeat after me.... I shall meet all of my deadlines directly in proportion to the amount of bodily injury I could expect to receive from missing them.

Honking? Circling?? Slowing down???......Classic symptoms of testosterone poisoning. Once it progresses to throwing beer bottles, it's almost always fatal.

Would have posted sooner, but I obey the law of inverse excuses which demands that the greater the task to be done, the more insignificant the work that must be done prior to beginning the greater task.

I'm still a newbie, but I was just researching another topic involving a lawsuit elsewhere on the web (in response to a voicemail from a new CA). I have yet to finish reading the whole thing, but there is alot of LSC discussion (starting with the third or fourth paragraph). I don't know if it's of any use, but as long as it's handy, I thought I'd pass it along. http://openjurist.org/362/f3d/944
