How 'bout Chrysler Financial

Just wondering how good Chrysler is about financing people with less than stellar credit???

 

We have had one loan with them,(0.9% interest) no lates, will pay off this month. We have had 4 other car loans, never late, PIF.

 

We do have high utilization, and a few lates here and there. We would have our van to trade in, for around 5-6 thousand.

 

Do you think they would finance us??

 

I don't really think we will do it....I would rather take what our payment was and pay down the CC but in case my DH gets the new car bug soon, I am just wondering.

This doesn't really relate to your question, but I will never... EVER... give Chrysler Credit a dime of my money. It all goes back to when my father passed away in 1992. I got the vehicle, and made payments of both his bills and mine. I was behind a few times, but never more than 30 days, and they knew the situation. I even had the probate attorney call them and explain the status of the probate, etc. Didn't matter. It wasn't so much the harrassment that bothered me, but the meanness and outright lies (yes, literally lies) they used in the process. There are many lenders available, and I'm sure Chrysler isn't the only one who does this, but they're the ones who did it to me and this grudge I'll hold onto.

I also had a bad experience with Chrysler years ago.

 

However; my husband recently decided to trade in his suburban for a truck and Chrysler turned us down on financing. We applied on line and they will email you back with their decision. We have had some lates but just recently paid one of our cars off and the other is current on payments but they still turned us down. Go through the website and apply and they will let you know there to sae you from going in.

It's always better to apply through the dealership. It's harder for the dealership to turn a decline on the website into a approval at the dealership.

Not technically being the same company anymore, I wouldn't doubt that they're better, but I'm still pissy over this one, so as long as the name "Chrysler" is involved, I will not finance through them. Now, their vehicles I like, and would buy another one, they just aren't getting any finance profit from me. Not logical, I know.

I have had 7 Auto loans with Chrysler and still do. I have never had a late with them although I have had other slow pays. They financed my last car wayyyyyy better than anyone else would ever consider. I concuur, they are definately a RELATIONSHIP lender. Props to Chrysler

But it would be best to go into the dealership, rather than online, right, or does it not really matter?

I believe you would get best results via a dealer application.

Like I said, we are planning on waiting a while, and paying down/off some other debt. But it is good to know!
