No name for collection agency ?

[HERE WE GO !!!]

I got my old address deleted from Equifax thanks to Why Chat.

 

I sent out letters to Experian and Transunion.

 

I have 2 small medical collections on all of my credit reports.

 

There is an address and telephone number for the collector but no name !! No name on any of my reports.

 

Is that legal ? Is that a violation ? What should I do ?

Are you using REAL reports, directly from each CRA??

 

Send the initial dispute letter to each CRA and dispute each account EXACTLY as it is being reported on that report.

 

Also, look on the last pages of your report, there should be a listing of the names and addresses of the CAs

 

It is POSSIBLE that it is the OC health care provider reporting directly, in which case they are NOT allowed to name the health care provider.

 

Look up the phone # to see who it is.
