Has anyone applied online for US Bank, received account number and a message stating they were approved then later denied? I have a couple of Chex baddies over 3 years old.

No but i applied for their platinum cc and just recd a letter in the mail today that they were unable to consider my application because my residence is outside of trade area..........I live in the Houston Texas area. Has anyone experienced this before???? I've seen some Texas approvals under Creditpulls on this site but i guess they don't deal with Houston...Lol.

I just signed up with USBank in branch. They said they allow active chexsystems if you have not filed BK and have not been reported for fraud (excessive overdraft, kiting, etc).

 

I am not sure if the account will stay open. I'll report back.

 

I did apply for USBank online previously, and was sent a denial letter.

US Bank is more lenient when you apply at certain "In store branches"

All is well. Received my debit card today.

 

The banker did mention a probation type period of 30 days.

 

Based on other posts around the net, USBank tends to leave accounts open.

US Bank tends to be Chex friendly. I walked into my neighborhood grocery store and there is an in store branch there. As I walked past the bank they had a sign saying "Open an account here, Chex Systems OK". As long as there is no fraud they are fine with it.

Confirmed from my experience with them that ChexSystems baddies are fine.

Well I applied online today.

 

Application process went smoothly, didn't get any denial notifications.

 

Set up the funding options and completed the app. Was told that a rep would contact me within 3 biz days to complete the process, which is standard for online applications. Most likely they'll have me go into a local branch, show ID and proof of residence, and viola.

 

 

My Chex file has one unpaid item for Account Abuse which is 4 years old. I have that very same item of EWS.

 

I'll keep you guys posted.

I am on Early Warning Systems, and it did not cause a problem with USBank.

 

JrFICO, good luck. I did apply for USBank online and was declined. However in branch it went through. So if anything goes wrong, just go to the branch.
