I have 3-4 accounts all from the same Medical CA on each of my CB's. They are all unpaid and past the 4 year SOL. Total amount is a little over $1,000.

The steps I have taken so far:
1. I have read over Why Chat's process.
2. I opted out a few years ago so I should still be good.
3. My previously addresses have been all removed on EQ and Tu. I am still fighting with EX to get them removed.
4. I have written my initial CRA dispute letters and planning on mailing out the EQ and TU tomorrow. I am planning on holding off on the EX letter until I get the old addresses removed.

Have I missed any steps? Should I hold off on step 4 until EX comes around or can I move forward with EQ and TU? Thanks for your help.

You are OK to send the initial dispute letters to all 3, Ex is miserable about ALL disputes.

Thank you Why Chat. Re-opted out and sent all three letters are off. Now to wait the 45 days.

In the meantime, I have two other non-medical paid collections and was thinking about using PsycDoc's Nutcase letter on them. Can I do that now or should I wait for the HIPPA process to be completed?

You need to wait until your medical account disputes are finished.
ANY kind of additional dispute to the CRAs will get "merged" in your file and will delay a resolution of your issues.

If you have non medical accounts that you need to deal with, you can wait until the medical ones are off your reports and then use whatever method you wish for deletion, including my "SOL" letter program.

Why Chat,

About 10 days after getting my 3 green cards, I went into the back end of each to see if there was any activity. Nothing had changed. Yesterday I went in again and noticed that Experian now has the medicals collection accounts flagged as under investigation.

Today, I received a form letter from Experian stating,

"If you question the results of our dispute process, then you may want to contact the furnisher of information directly or review the original information in the public record. Please refer to your original personal credit report for the furnisher or public records office name, address, and phone number (if available)."

It didn't give any information regarding my medical disputes. It was like it was missing the first page of their response. I checked the back end of Experian again and it still shows the medical collections under investigation.

Do you believe this was an automated response from going in the back end the first time or do you think this was their answer to my pre-HIPPA letter? If it was they didn't verify anything. I know you said to hold off on my other credit repair. Should I wait the full 35 days before going in the back end or is it safe to check as long as I don't add any new disputes? They still have a couple more weeks before the initial 30 days (+5 days) hits.

As always, thank you for your help and your process.

Why Chat,

About 10 days after getting my 3 green cards, ??? The instructions CLEARLY state that the INITIAL disputes to the CRAs be sent CERTIFIED ONLY, without a return receipt requested. Your sending your disputes with a RR which required them being SIGNED FOR at the PO and handled as a NON CONSUMER dispute has probabably slowed down and/or stymied your dispute process I went into the back end of each to see if there was any activity. Wait until you have a WRITTEN response from Ex as well as Eq and TU, you will likely have to send at least ONE medical DV to the reporting CA.

and then a follow up dispute to any CRA that did NOT delete

Thanks Why Chat,

I will continue to wait. I can't believe I missed the certified only step. I hope I didn't damage my chances to much.

TU came back with all of them erased. :yahoo: EX hasn't come back yet, but they are all erased on the back end. I am currently waiting for the written report.
EQ hasn't come back yet, 2 of the 3 were erased and one is still showing on the back end.

Is it possible that EQ verified one of the accounts when it the same OC on all of the collection accounts on all three CRAs? Hopefully they are still investigating it since they still have a week left counting the + 5 days.

I will post when they all come back.

Why Chat,

I am still waiting for written reports from EX and EQ. Tomorrow is day 30 +5. I am assuming they are in the mail. :( On a positive note, all of the medical collections have been removed from all three CRA per the back end. :clapping: Is the process done? Do I need to do now anything to ensure they won't be reinstated? They were all old falling off over the next year and a half.

At this point do you recommend I continue to wait or would I be okay to move forward with my next disputes. I am planning on using your judgement dispute letter on a satisfied PR, the 1-2 punch on a paid utility TL CA, and a 623 on a paid utility TL OC due to multiple lates.

Thanks again for your painless process.

I suggest you consider sending one dispute on all of the above, like this:
( make sure you check the records first on the judgment
http://whychat.5u.com/deletejudg.html )
Dear CRA,

My name is xxxxx xxxxxx , my SS # is xxx xx xxxx.

I am sending this dispute certified mail # xxxx to make sure you receive it.

My report # is xxxxx.

There is no such judgment of record # xxxx from this Court for this date for this amount from this creditor.

I have certified documentation from the Court that supports my dispute of this erroneous entry on my report.

In addition,I have no record or knowledge of the following accounts:
account # xxxx reported by xxxx
account # xxxx reported by xxxx

If this(these) entry(ies) is(are) verified, please send me the name and address of the provider or furnisher providing this data, and the manner in which it was provided in order that I may pursue additional legal remedies.

Very truly yours,

Be careful about disputing "lates" when an OC is reporting as the entire tradeline could be deleted and that would likely REDUCE your score. "Lates" drop off after 2 years from an active account. If you want to keep those tradelines, omit the paragraph in italic and use the "singular" in the next paragraph.

The "late" TL is a closed utility company. It was opened in 3/06 and closed in 4/07 because I moved. It shows 1 x 90 day late in 12/06 and 9 x 60 day lates from 4/07 through 12/07. Even though the lates are old and expected to fall of in 2/14, I figured removing the TL would be more helpful to my score and report due to the quantity of lates. Do you believe the AAOA is more helpful than the lates in this situation?

I think you should just get the judgment off your reports for now.
If the "late" is tied to an old address you should make sure that THAT address is deleted from your reports before disputing the account. IF you have been successful in getting THAT address off your reports then you can certainly dispute that "late" TL as it will get deleted ( if THAT address was deleted) and will help your score more than leaving it on.

The "late" TL is only showing on TU and the address has been deleted. I am so close to a clean report. ^_^ Thanks again!
