I applied on line, this is what I got:

 

Your Application Is Being Processed

We have received your application. We require additional time to process the information you provided us.

 

Your confirmation number is xxxxxxxxx.

 

We will notify you by email when your application has been processed; within 1 to 2 business days. Please make sure your email filter is set to allow emails from Bank of America.

 

If you requested a CD product, initial deposit instructions are required to open your new CD account. We apologize for the inconvenience, at this time our application for account opening deposit is not available. A representative will contact you for CD deposit information, or you may submit your CD application again.

 

When your account is ready to use, you should expect the following:

 

If you currently use Online Banking your new account will appear in your Online Banking profile within 2 to 4 business days

Your account number, signature card and online banking enrollment instructions will be sent to the account address within 7 to 10 business days

Your ATM or Check Card will be sent to the account address seperately within 7 to 10 business days

 

 

You can make the opening deposit to your new account (other than CD products) at your nearest banking center or use any of our ATMs that accept deposits. 1Find a Bank of America banking center near you.

 

You can also send a check for your initial deposit to the following address:

Go to the Bank of America home page at www.bankofamerica.com.

 

 

Footnote 1 The terms and conditions of your account remain the same. You will receive reminder emails for your initial deposit.

Thanks, folks. I did call, they said it will take a couple of days to process the application and then I should receive an email. We'll see and I'll keep you posted.

I got the same thing and an approval via email less than 2 days later back in May, hang in there!

Nothing yet . . .except a hard pull on Experian --->Not happy about that.

Okay, so I haven't received another email, but I called again . . .da dah - approved! They said they mailed my welcome package and check card two days ago. Cool.

 

So, now for the next item on my agenda: does anyone have any comments about secured card through BofA?

I just got the same message when I applied just now...... I'm worried about the pull on EX. My score on EX is in the toliet. Mca, Do you think I'll still get approved???. Anyone else? TIA

yes I don't believe that they will deny you based on your credit score
