OK, I know, silly newbie question.

 

Should I be completely handwriting pre-HIPAA disputes in purple or teal, or does it just need to be the envelope/stationary in order to get to a real live person?

 

(I started the new thread because through a board search I've been able to find *why* just not how much?)

The envelope should be hand addressed with a clear BLACK printed ink, as should the return address on the envelope.

The postal system MUST be able to properly scan the envelope for it to arrive at its destination.

 

If you are hand writing your disputes, you can use whatever color ink you want as long as it is on a "colored pattern" background.

I favor the blue lined yellow legal pads, but you can use any "watermarked" stationary as long as there is a colored pattern of some

type. If you are using your computer, you can import a watermark and use a teal or purple itallic font.
