Best reason to dispute "account abuse"

My wife's old checking account is showing that it is listed in ChexSystems due to "account abuse". Would it be better to dispute this as "not mine" or to say that the "account had been closed and charges continued to go through"?

 

She had closed the account out and the card was never cancelled so when companies auto billed her they went through.
