Holy Crap...Carnival Sea Miles MasterCard!!!

They declined me at 1st (on Friday), I called today and asked for reconsideration (explained in detail my credit file from TU to the credit person). I figured what the hell right the all ready ran my credit, and within 5 minutes of hanging up I received this email:

 

Congratulations! On 06/14/2005 you were approved for the

Carnival Sea Miles MasterCard with a Credit Line of $5,000.00

 

You'll receive your card, pin, and cardmember agreement within the next 10 days. Set up online access now. Select GO to create a username and password.

 

So is Juniper Bank considered a prime or sub prime CC??

 

Oh it's been a kick a$$ credit month added 17K!!!

Just as an FYI:

 

The lady said it's a good thing I called in and asked for reconsideration on the application. She said (which I knew) that when you apply via the web and not with a live person thet computer uses a general scoring system that is nowhere as accurate as a credit person.

 

She told me to always keep that in mind.

what info did you need when you called? Just SSN, or the denial number? I don't have that anymore...

They just asked for my SS # at first but then the denial #. You can go on Juniper's web page, then check status, then view reason(something like that) for the letter with the demial#.

KAZ my TU is 654 and I got the 10 day letter. Just an FYI if you are going to call let me know how it goes...I am thinking about calling them and going over my report (few baddies easily explained...at least I think so!)

On the bad side....

 

Just called to see what intrest rate I received, well it's their highest tier, 17.99%

 

 

I'll definatly keep it though for PIF months, in the meantime my sock draw just got a bit fatter.

I told the truth! I explained they are all IIB from 2001. Remove them for a minute and look at my report minus the IIB and you'll see I have been a model credit person for the past 4 years.

TU 707 no baddies but LOTS of new accounts and inquires. I had to explain why so much new credit, which I did. I have a balance showing of like $40 on my target card and good payment history. Everything else zero balance.
