Cashback reward of 1% on annual purchases up to $5000 and 2% on annual purchases of $5000 or greater**

** To be eligible to receive the cashback bonus, the credit card account must remain open and paid current for the ENTIRE accrual period or the bonus is forfeited. The cashback bonus will accumulate monthly for the program year, and will be credited annually to the cardholder's savings account the first week of January. Balance transfers are not included in the cashback bonus calculation.

I found the part of their website dealing with membership, but a person would have to sift through their list of about one billion organizations/service groups.

So I'm hoping that someone on this board knows if there is a particular group that anyone and everyone is eligible to join.

:o Thank you! I guess I need to work on being a more optimistic person; I thought, well, the best I can expect is two ways to get in.. and here are four suggestions!

Question: ASIS .. On Redstone's list you're referring to "NORTH ALABAMA CHAPTER ASIS INTERNATIONAL (Members Only) (Alabama)" ?

I googled that to identify that. American Society for Industrial Security ?

American Society for Information Science and Technology (AzASIS&T) ?

It'll be at least six months to a year before I'm in a position to apply for anything. But I promise to be a guinea pig for this. With where I expect my spending to be for awhile, this cash back card seems like it would work better for me than NASA's 2% cash back card.

And unless I'm overlooking something, it looks the platinum visa, gold visa, and gold mc are all cash back cards. So the APR is only 7.75 - 8.74% ! https://www.redfcu.org/scripts/rates.pl?you...tes_creditcards

Edited to add:

Here is some additional background information about this credit union http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redstone_Federal_Credit_Union

nice find BTW!

:)

hmm 2% back in combo with the usmint coins... hmm, even if you didn't use the coins to make money, but to get to that $5,000 mark faster...

Redstone does instant online approval - they use Lexis/Nexis type questions for verification - EQ pull

details?

W-2s?

etc.

limit?

I joined a while back in person...but haven't applied for any credit products of yet, they are one of my 'back pocket' CU's..this is as much information as I gleaned from the CSR person that opened my acct...my understanding is they will ask for W-2/income verification
