  1. In my case it was just the CA on my report. They got the tradeline from the OC (who does not report). My guess is that your "Dr. Joe" who is the OC does not report, but sends his unpaids to the CA. You can always ask,the OC to demand deletion from his CA. If they tell you to pay the CA, use whychat method. It does work! I need to point out, that my process was easier because I had funds to pay at my point of confrontation with the OC. Good Luck, keep us posted on your results.
  2. If "Dr. Joe Smith" or his billing company put it on your report, he can call his CA and ask for deletion due to error. Incorrect address is just one example of a legitimate error. Mine happened to be a short payment by my insurance company. Paying the $400 (after 25% disc.) was better than the 58 point drop I got on EXP. I'd rather work it out with my insurance company. A polite, courteous, and firm conversation with the OC may yield the best results if time is of the essence. The Whychat method has worked for me in the past, but i decided to try "in person" before I went down that road.
  3. Very Ironic! I just went thru this yesterday with an OC Hospital and a CA. Work out your deal with the OC and have them call thier CA to delete the CRA reporting for billing error. I even got a 25% disc. for paying in person! My leverage was citing 3 HIPPA violations and my personal threat to sue. Good Luck, Don't give up the fight.
  4. According to the cars.gov website, this deal won't qualify for the clunkers deal see the red highlights What to bring to the Dealer to qualify: 1 Year Proof of Insurance. If your insurance card does not cover the entire year preceding the trade in, you will need other proof of insurance. Contact your insurance company to get evidence of 1 year worth of insurance. The form must include, at a minimum, the insurance company, policy number, VIN, start and end date of insurance (showing at least 1 year). Proof of Registration going back at least 1 year. “Clear†title. This means the title must be free of any liens or other encumbrances. If you have liens, you need to get these cleared before going to the dealer. This may include evidence on the face of the title showing no lien; that the title has been cleared (signed and stamped accordingly), or with an attached lien release from the lien holder. The vehicle manufacturer date found on the driver’s door or door jamb is less than 25 years old when you trade it in. If you do not have any of the above items in your possession, you may do the following: Call your insurance company and have them provide evidence of 1 year’s worth of insurance on the trade-in vehicle. Make sure it includes the minimum requirements noted above. Contact your DMV for copies of prior registration certificates to show proof of ownership of the trade-in vehicle for at least the past year. The name on the registration must be the same as the name on the title and the same as the purchaser of the new vehicle. Clear your title by paying-off any loans outstanding and receive either a newly issued title from the DMV that is free of all liens and other encumbrances, or have the lien release document from the lien holder (signed and stamped accordingly), or your title signed and stamped accordingly (showing it is clear) Once you are at the dealer you will be asked to certify to the following under penalty of law. The above documents will provide proof to the dealer to assist in this certification process. The trade-in is in drivable condition. You are the registered owner, and have been for the least the last year. The trade-in has been continuously insured for the last year. The trade-in is titled in your name and has been for the last year. You have not previously participated in the CARS program.

    Secured card

i agree with this approach, it is the best to build good credit, and when you are ready for a car or unsecured down the road, you already have a good relationship and history. credit unions are the best thing going right now
  9. i had a similar situation, with a out of the woodwork debt i didn't own. these jdb's know you are closing and will try to extort $$ from you. my title company set up an escrow account with the $$ that were alleged to be owed and gave me 90 days to resolve it or they would pay. i had an agreement with them that if i needed additional time they would extend for 30 days at a time as long as i had proof of paperwork from OC, court and attorney i had working on it. i got it resolved in 75 days and got my money back.
  10. Long story short i had a parking ticket from 2003 sent to a CA. it popped up on my CR, i called the police dept that issued the ticket, and was told it was only a warning ticket. i informed them that their CA was reporting it as a $250 collection on my CR. They said they would call the CA and get it deleted. the CA marked it as a "PAID" collection. I politely called the CA to ask why? the response was "well do you want it marked paid or unpaid?" i stated that it needs to be deleted they refused what's the best way to fry them for violations?
  11. bump
  12. agreed but they have to find it first. as i said previously they have to have a court order to get the "collateral", i had another thought, why don't you call the OC and offer them a small sum and take a 1099 for the title. the situation that i had previously mentioned is what someone that i know did. If you call get a "prepaid" phone to use for your OC contact. the "throwaway" (ie cheap) prepaid phone models can be activated anonymously. As always get the entire agreement in writing. Use a temporary address to get your correspondence. it is better to work out something this way than to get a "surprise" one day. hope this helps
  13. i know when hsbc sells an account, they will update as sold, i would contact hsbc with request to correct the report as before. if they gave you goodwill, they should fix problem for you.
  14. car cannot be reported as stolen, you have use to vehicle because of registration. they cannot block registration. the car has to be repo'd the only way they can get unauthorized use is they have to have a court order. this is a civil matter. not an expert but based on seeing done before
  15. what state are u in? i use sovereign bank they have two products, an electronic wire transfer product and an ach product which allows ach's out your business account as well as ach's into your account. the ach product is $20 or $25/month and .11 per transaction. you just need a business account, and they don't pull personal credit. let me know what state you are in. they are a large regional bank on east coast
