  1. I just received a letter from this same law firm yesterday, but this is a BofA account. I've settled all but this one for roughly 25 cents on the dollar...the balance is approx $25k and they also called wanting $19k. I obviously do not have it...I am hoping we do come to some agreement before they go to court...I've settled all (which includes Citi and Chase and 3 other BofA)...I am hoping to settle this one too and be done with it.
  2. Thanks for your response! When talking with the mortgage co...they said that they would want the medicals paid...but if they fall off the won't be there anymore. We are looking to start the process again in January/February so hopefully the time and the charge off's being paid will give us the boost we need. Your right 640 is a better goal.
  3. The reason I was asking is because the numbers that Credco reported to the mort co are way different that what is on myFico...the mort rep also listed a few collection items that are not showing on any of our reports. They are all small ($28, $130 medicals) but I want to clean them up. Thanks!

    Credco

We are looking for a mortgage...Cap One pulled a report from Credco (??) The report is showing different numbers that what we pulled off of myFico...is it possible to get a Credco report? thanks!
  5. I had four..settled two and they agreed to report as paid rather than paid/settled for less. That was directly with BofA I am settling two more this week, but with a CA...I am waiting on the letter (we discussed details last night). I asked for it to report paid or delete...we'll see
  6. Ok here is what I am working with... Total Income +125K Price of home $289.9 roughly Down Payment $25k Looking to do FHA Credit Scores DH 619, 605, 589 Me 607, 599, 538 We want to cleanup the reports and hope for a nice boost in scores DH has some small medical bills from 2005...should we pay those or let them fall off? Me - I have two charge offs from Bof A...I want to settle these in August...in 2009 DH lost his job and we fell behind on some items...we settled with all but the two BofAs...all other payments are on time for the past year..car, mortgage, remaining CCs. How long before the "paid" charge off will make a positive effecf on the credit reports? Thanks!
  7. I spoke with themlast week and was given 0% for 5 years...here is the number I called 800-472-0497...someone else on these boards was nice enough to supply the number and it worked
  8. Thanks Jtoast....I do not bank with them and live in New York. I am trying to buy some time with them. I know the $9,000 is a great offer. We are trying to figure out how we can come up with it...I have a 401k loan out now..I was thinking of paying the balance by borrowing from dad...then reborrow to pay them..I know not the brightest idea to take from retirement but like I said I am so stressing over this...Thanks again!
  9. Hi there I've not posted in a while...a couple years back I got my credit straighten out..paid off a lot...but 2009 happened...hubby got laid off (funny he worked for Merrill Lynch)..credit a mess now...this brings me to today. I have a Gold Option Line with BofA that I have $24,000 balance on. Since Oct. 09 I've been having problems paying them. I paid $200 in Oct. $200 in Nov. $1,000 in December...since I've been only able to pay about $100-$200 a month. Of course the calls have started. Sometime I get an understanding rep..other times just a plain old nasty person. I've got them so far to waive late fees...I been asking for lower rate...got a big fat no. Well, last night we got a nasty call....the rep told us do not send anything, your $50 a week is doing nothing..keep you money. He went on to call us losers and deadbeats. I was sending what I could as good faith that I do want to pay but just cannot right now. They offered settlement of $11.000 then $9,000. I really wish I had it. I guess my questions are 1) can I be sued/taken to court 2) will the account be put in collections 3) will they settle for less 4) will they garnish my pay check? 5) will a hardship letter do anything...hubby laid off..just had a baby 4 months ago I am starting to lose sleep over this...I've never been late with any cards/payments. We are in the process of selling our condo and once it is sold we will pay BofA first....any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  10. Hubbies card...he had an increase fom 10.99 to 14.99 and the protection plan was raised by 10cents effective March 09. Account is going to be PIF come February so no worries here...Lots of changes in the credit world these days
  11. I had...key word had...four accounts with BOA. I was told 1) I had not enough credit, 2) too high on credit limit (on $10,000 line I was at $3,000) and 3) too many open revolving accounts. I've always had a slight dislike for BofA...so kinda happy they've ended our relationship..
  12. Just called Chase as I have a few cards with them...I think three...Disney Rewards, Regal Rewards, and their Chase Rewards that I go over the credit limit, I have no penalty, but I have to pay it down the following month.. (no sure what they call it)...the rep stated that this $10 fee and 5% is for those who have 2.99% to 4.99% life time APRs from BTs and intro deals. We'll see
  13. Got mine today.. (64)
  14. Hi I changed my name a year ago due to a divorce...the judge asked/stated...this name change will not cancel any debts I have in my previous names and that I am not changing it to hide or avoid debts...
  15. I'm 64 and got the same thing from the IRS site...not info at this time...I hate that they said they were going out early..now I want my money LOLOL...I'm getting married in 19 days and could use it to pay some of the vendors...Oh well...hopefully Friday it will appear
