Olympic Cuban taekwondo athlete banned after kicking ref
astley101 replied to bimmersandmacs's topic in General Discussion
And they said Usain Bolt was unsportsman like for his celebrating. Anyways I watched the video of this kick and think it's a shame that people disgrace their sport and country with unacceptable behavior. Nice way to set an example for young kids; kick the ref in the face if you lose. -
Wow just wow...

I've brought a car from there, it was a good experience. If you're selling a car, you might want to meet people at a public place for your safety.

I really feel for this guy. I've had something similar happen to me. You do a routine a million times, then out of nowhere a freak accident. Hopefully he recovers well

Seems pretty good as long as there's no strings attached to it. I know most scholarships require proof of major, or completion of a degree in said field. (i.e. math) And if the requirement is not met then they consider it a loan. Besides that, it seems like a win-win situation since most colleges require you to take X amount of math classes prior to graduation anyways! Good Luck

Technically you could, but it would be hard. You would just have to make more than the 6% of interest you're paying. In today's market I don't see that happening. Now say you took the money and put it in stocks, then you could possibly make good money, or you could lose most of it and end up in debt. The possibilities are endless!

Funny you posted this. I was venting this just the other day, when I was required to fill out a FASFA for a non-need based scholarship. It's just annoying!

Seems like a credible school, but it's kind of expensive. If you're going for your undergrad degree I would suggest looking into UNF.

When should I plan to get a new car?
astley101 replied to uptomyneck's topic in Automotive Financing
I had a Maxima, they're very nice and reliable. I would assume you could get at least a couple more years out of it. I'm thinking another 40k miles at least! It would probably be best to get into the new house and make payments to yourself until the Maxima gives out, or until you have enough saved to put a good down payment on the new car. -
I would suggest Meguiars PlastX for the front headlights. It's a do-it-yourself plastic cleaner that works pretty good. A local detail shop would probably charge $50+ to clean the pair.

29.99%, how ridiculous is that. Good thing you caught it.

I see that as disrespectful if they raised you. HA... Most people probably would. They raised me and my siblings, but we have called them that since we were little. They NEVER made mention of it, or corrected us. I only found out a couple of years ago that it was an odd thing to do. When I talk to my siblings I say: ____ call your mom, or ______ call your dad. Even though we have the same parents.
-
I would prefer using just the persons first name. I call my bio-parents by their first name, and I don't think I've ever referred to them as mom or dad.

I'll be the first to say that I don't think you FAILED as a parent. If he was under 16ish then maybe, but since he's 20 its not your fault. He made a mistake and I'm sure he feels crappy inside. 1st for letting you down, 2nd for having to answer to the law. -Time is the best teacher
