  1. oooooh, you're a bad influence.
  2. Seriously?.. that is pretty cool. One of my problems - and the reason I get mine altered- is- I love different kinds of patterns, textures, materials..etc.. and I seem to find one in say a large - but I am a medium.. anyway- That would be cool to do.. Although, I hate to say i am not going to Hong Kong anytime soon - We actually just got back from Australia and that was quite ... interesting.
  3. Why don't you just use a normal rewards card and buy clothes that fit? Why? I like things tailored. Is there something wrong with that? I can't help that I like to look good in the clothes I am wearing- I don't see your point there... Also.. I do have plenty of rewards cards. $25 in rewards for every $500 spent is good. So.... again... I don't see your point.... http://www.giftcardgranny.com/store/j-crew/ You can purchase gift cards to JCrew for 6%-9% discounts...and use a 2% card to purchase the gift cards. This can be done at many of the stores that people think the store cards give them such a great deal. This makes a lot more sense than using a store card for ill-fitting clothes so you can get "free" alterations. You also get credit card rewards for the gift card purchase. Well, why yes cv it certainly does make more sense! Thankfully Konrad was courteous enough to make me aware of the gift card discount site. Maybe next time I apply for a card i should personally contact you, cv, to make sure I am making the appropriate choices. edited to add- Pottery Barn refused to alter my shirt. Maybe Crate & Barrel® will fix up your shirt, and give you new cuffs for your culottes. I do like me some culottes. The draw strings are a plus

  7. It really depends - I have 4 store cards (3 from SCT - don't recommend) and Lowes.. The only ones worth keeping are Jcrew (I shop for my son there a lot) and Lowes - which I use just to pad utilization... especially when I forget to pay 5.5k off before statement.. ugh. lol Some store cards are ok - but if you have a great rewards card - why bother? The Jcrew card is nice though... $25 for every $500 spent and free alterations..
  8. They are good builder cards - Your limit on your spouses could be anywhere from $300 to $5000 (I think) for the credit steps... The secured card is good, I think, I never had it. I think a lot of people do not like Cap 1 here but they gave me another chance - they were included in my BK and they gave me a $3500 and $2500 credit line (platinum and Quicksilver - now converted on both)
  9. Yes.. I have had the same.. I had 3 inquires when I applied for Lowes and another Barclay card. 2 of the older inquires which were UNDER 3 months old were gone - they were replaced by Lowes and Barclay.
  10. LOL. I'm going there on business in June. I'll let you know how nice it is then. What kind of dopey business do you work for that sends their employees into the heart of hell? What's next, December retreats in Fairbanks? I know. It's a specialized conference and the people that run it are based out of Austin, so everything has to happen there. They always have it during the summer. I'll be indoors in the A/C and my hotel is right down the block from the convention center so that's good. Austin is great! I have lived here for 14 years now... Enjoy your time here!

What's next, December retreats in Fairbanks? Where else can you have the heart of hell AND southern hospitality. LOL.. well, I guess any where in the south.. hmm. Meh, I still love livin in Austin
  12. Heck, you are traveling in India. Just stop into the call center and explain your situation. Say hi for me to Max Wilson or Sean.
  13. Congrats, nice limit on the Discover! Sheesh!!
  14. What Scupra said.. I allocated $1,000 to a new card (declined and distributed some of the CL to the new one)- Both cards are now $22k and under a year old.
