  1. Thank you all. I called a few times and was told the account could not be reopened because it was company policy. I'm just going to move on from it.
  2. Some background information. I have a Chase Slate card that was originally WaMu from 2006. Low limit of $5500 and had a zero balance. I have decent credit -- scores over 800. Had a BK well over 10 years ago if that matters. My utilization is under 5% across all cards. But Chase closed my account for inactivity. I usually use the card once a year so I get that I don't use it enough or pay interest. And it's hasn't been a year since I used it. However, I hate to lose this account. Does anyone know if Chase has the ability to reopen accounts? I hate losing this history.
  3. This number is no longer working. Chase: 888-245-0625 (Credit Analyst - Recons)
  4. I need some help. Not sure what to do here. I received two medical bills collection notices two weeks ago. I put them aside because I was in a rush. Pulled them out today and contact the collection agencies because I was just going to pay, but when I looked at the actual notices I remembered that I had already paid these accounts to the actual clinic in June/July 2015 for going to the clinic in July 2014. I called the collection agency and they said they had three not two unpaid accounts. I said that isn't write and I was going to contact the actual clinic. Called the clinic and they show all the accounts having a zero balance and paid as of June 2015. The collection agency says that the unpaid balances are valid. The lady I spoke with at the clinic said that the collection agency has been contacting a lot of people and that the clinic does not conduct business with them anymore. I have no idea what I need to do. The accounts are zero with the clinic. I found the returned checks at my bank online so I have proof that I paid the balances. What do I need to do to stop the collection agency from reporting this wrong information? Thanks so much in advance! I am feeling so frustrated.
  5. Update and question: I was able to successfully have all addresses deleted from equifax, but when I pulled the report the next month all the addresses were reinstated. I have not done anything with Experian yet but it seems that there is a fraud alert on the account now because they want me to send in identity verification info. Please advise. What do I do next?
  6. I can't remember the date of the medical service. I believe in the early part of 2014. When I discovered the bill hadn't been paid was in May/June of 2015. I paid the entire balance to the medical clinic. I am not trying to do this my own way. I just missed deleting the addresses from Experian. That was a mistake on my part. I have already disputed it with Transunion and they immediately deleted the collections. Should I wait to hear a response from Experian before sending the letter to the CA. Will work to get addresses deleted from equifax before disputing with them. Thanks again!
  7. I am working on my husband's reports for a medical bill we missed paying after moving. Unfortunately, I missed the step of deleting old addresses. Is it too late for that step? I did, however, send the initial HIPAA dispute letter. I checked Experian back door this morning. The collection account is listed as paid and is no longer under investigation. I haven't received a letter from Experian saying it is verified, but the next step is to send a letter directly to collection agency, correct? I don't know if it is a CA or JBD? The company is Healthcare Financial Services, if that helps. My main question is how difficult will Experian make this process? Transunion deleted immediately and I haven't disputed with Equifax yet. Thank in advance!
  8. Both medical collections have been deleted! Hope they aren't ever reinserted.
  9. What happened to target? Why aren't they upgrading?
  10. Please excuse my ignorance. But I am confused about the order these should be written. Dispute the CRA first, correct? Do I immediately contact CA after a response from CRA is given or not all?
  11. I did not have the opportunity to complete these steps when I originally started this thread. Am about the begin the process now. And yes the collections is only on Exquifax and now I have two that should not be there. One says zero balance and paid the other has a balance of $700. I do not recall receiving a notice about the second one. Ugh; am so frustrated. Finally got my credit reports looking much better until these things
  12. I have a collection on my Equifax report that was supposed to be removed, but it is still there. I have spoken to the collection agency three times, and each time they say they will have it removed because I paid the hospital directly. The last time I spoke to them they said they would send me something in writing stating it should be removed. What are my options. I would like this removed from my account as soon as possible. Thanks in advance!
  13. Thanks! I actually saw you respond to this in another thread.
  14. Seattle: If I am reading and understanding correctly, one can only ask for an upgrade to the AMEX is in the store? Over the phone is out?
