  1. Thank you, Why Chat. I was able to successfully pay online so that must mean that the account was never actually turned over?
  2. Through an oversight I forgot to pay a bill to Wellstar from June of this year. I got a bill last week that reminded me and a day or later got a letter from a CA. There is still no reporting as of this morning. Just to be sure that I understand the order of the process, do I just send the amount on my statement from Wellstar with insert as a first step or should I contact them and ask to have it pulled from CA first?
  3. Navy Federal nRewards app in March 2014 approved for 3K, CLI to 10K in July and product change to Flagship, CLI to 20K in August. Shocking, considering my chapter 13 was dismissed in 6/2013. Cap1 Platinum 2K to 3K auto CLI. Barclays Rewards 1.5K to 2650 via luv button
  4. I have found that they tend to come and go. Chances are it was sold to someone else or went back to the OC.
  5. I hope my posts haven't come across that way ... What always both amuses and concerns me is that people think that BO is abnormal. It is so offensive to us because we just don't smell it that often. I had huge problems working in Central Asian countries years ago because they don't bath like we do. They dress to the nines and fix their hair, but reek to high heaven of some stanky BO that I was told was from eating a lot of mutton . Suggesting that anyone shower more than once per day without knowing them and their skin is presumptuous. My 4-year old son gets a bath every other day, because when he was a baby, he had skin problems with daily baths. The polite way to handle this is to simply ask if there are any issues that would cause him to literally reek of flowers (maybe not use those words ). If not, give him a warning or write him up, whatever the procedure is. He has obviously heard it before. If he is a slacker in other areas, that is a strong clue that he is negligent in the hygiene department. If he has medical problems you will have to get your company regulations straight before taking any action so as not to set you up for any liability. I have intermittent problems with depression, and the first thing to go is daily showers. I continue the deoderant and beauty routine, but I have a mild hydrophobia that I can only overcome every other day, not to mention I sleep in and have to time to deal with it. I am fortunate that once caught, the depression responds well to some medications. I have never been told that I stink even in those times, so I think that there are people that tend to stink despite any amount of hygiene. I do wonder if there are OTC beauty products that you can suggest. I know that my armpits are better if I use anti-bacterial soap, (not always a good idea for women). I also have used clarifying shampoo as a shower gel with good results on things like all-nighter clubbing skank. The other good point made was about his clothing - burn it. Clothing DOES take on the odors of its owner even after laundering. So do sheets and blankets. Chairs, too. God help any woman that takes him on ...
  6. Cocomad - I think our noses get sensitized to our own odors. Put cologne on in the morning, by 10:00 can't smell it. If you smell it, other likely smell it, too. He probably had people tell him. I shower everyday to wake up, so that NEVER goes undone. If I forget deoderant, I WILL smell like armpits by 10:00, so I have a roll-on in my desk drawer. Works flawlessly. Fortunately, I don't have all-over BO like described here.
  7. Anti-persperant will only get certain BO. Roomie has real honest to God overall BO. If you enter his room you smell it (unless you hold your breath first ). We had our house on the market two years ago and I would go in and get his sheets and wash them and put them back on the bed so he wouldn't know it !!! I tried to leave the door open when I left for work so it would air out in case anyone came to look !!! I couldn't keep up with the odor. I know of no medical issues, but we really don't know him THAT well. He doesn't spend much time here.
  8. At 42 (and look 32), I'm gray enough that I started down the blonde track. It's working for the most part, but the roots are problematic. I'd wait 'til 50 personally ...
  9. Yuk. Yeah, smoke gets in the walls, carpets, curtains, clothes, upholstery. Didya thank him for the spyware?
  10. Thanks, psp . I owe it all to Creditboards, no question. The misconceptions that I had about different forms of credit, credit reports, scoring, etc, were pretty bad. One day I'll document it all in the Success Stories forum, but I haven't been totally successful yet. This thread is more about keeping on keeping on because I know well how frustrating and demoralizing it can be ...
  11. Hubby's BofA account finally returned to normal rates !!! I had forgotten what they were . Down to 12.15% . I paid a grand $4.83 finance charge . I will pay it off now, most was transferred to lower rate cards, but I left enough to make consistent payments. YIPPEE ... Also, has anyone had this happen? I paid for about $150 worth of stuff at Target with my Hooters Mastercard (because I had overpaid it by $483.00 DOH!!!) and the cashier said I was pre-approved for a Target card !!! I have a few good cards now, so I turned it down. I was declined for Target in March, so assumed that this is good news. Got a Macy's auto CLI from $300 to $1000 !!! Hubby got a Hooters auto CLI from $300 to $700. He was turned down after hard pull in August. salamanders !!!
  12. I'll be the semi voice of dissent . BO IS disgusting. No question. That isn't my dissent. It is about the assumption that he is a pig. Maybe - maybe not. We have a boarder. He has been living here about 3 years. He has the strongest BO - his room reaks of it. Fortunately, he keeps the door closed. Thing is ... HE SHOWERS EVERY MORNING, SHAVES, BRUSHES HIS TEETH AND USES MOUTHWASH !!!! I don't smell the BO when he is merely in the vicinity, but I can smell it if he has a shirt on that he hasn't washed yet. I never go in his room. I suppose I'll have to deal with it if he ever moves out .
  13. Yup !! "BUH-BYE you crazy bastidge" - within two weeks of the final moving out of course ...
  14. I live near the Payless in Roswell, very close to Alpharetta. It's perfectly situated between a TJMaxx and the Super Target (well, the Target has a Starbucks) Let me know if you need a backup .
  15. She can breathe fine...it's just the normal "can't sleep with a stuffy nose" thing....I mean even now I can't sleep when I have a stuffy nose like that. She's coughing but NOTHING like a barking sound. Mason, that Tylenol knocked her out She fell asleep on the floor and me being stupid picked her up and laid her in her bed where she started coughing and woke up She seems to be going back to sleep though (I gave her some water when she woke up...Didn't want to drink it, but I left it with her just in case). I'm glad to hear she's sleeping. Best thing in the world for these things is plenty of rest. That's all the meds really help for sometimes ...
