Mistakenly forgot Sam's Discover payment on 12th
lilac replied to dizyaboi's topic in Business Credit
The payment was only 2 days late I'd think they'll charge you a late fee but it shouldn't show on your reports unless you'd been 30 days late. To those stating there'll be rate jacking, is there something different about Sam's Discover? -
Divorced & dating ot trying too but issues with your children
lilac replied to whisper237's topic in General Discussion
I don't have kids but I've been one. I think that qualifies me to state an opinion whether you like it or not. You think wrong. My opinion is that you're quick to judge without all the facts, on subjects you are not knowledgeable about. That qualifies you for..... nothing. There are a lot of people here whose opinion I respect. Yours is not on that list. My advice to you would be to get over yourself. -
Down in the car seat where the seat meets the back In the bathroom, maybe came out when she was brushing her hair Inside of a jacket she may have been wearing Call the counselors office, maybe someone found it On the floor anywhere at home, check the vacuum bag On the garage floor Hope she finds it!

I totally agree with you on that. My kids are 9 and 12 and I have met someone (almost 4 years ago) that loves me and them. They don't like that he's strict and tough on them when it comes to chores and education but I do and he's staying so they will just have to suck it up because I'm the parent!! Sounds like everything's good for you and your situation. Don't waste the energy getting offended by the judgments of others. All situations are unique! Agreed. Especially ones that don't have kids of their own. It's called common sense. You don't have to have kids to know that a step-parent or live in BF/GF will be resented for handing down discipline when it's clearly not his/her place. But thats the thing you assumed that there was resentment I never said there was and you came out your face calling me a bad parent who the hell are you to say such a thing do you know me or better yet do you know how things are in my house. The answer is NO you don't! Sounds like resentment to me but that's just my opinion. You can take it or leave it. -

They don't like that he's strict and tough on them when it comes to chores and education but I do and he's staying so they will just have to suck it up because I'm the parent!! In your original post, you say you've met someone new? Or is this a guy that has been around for 4 years? Just asking because you say that the guy is tough and strict on them? If I were your kids, I could see the resentment with a guy coming in and being tough and strict. That should be your job, not his. PSSSST. The original post was from whisper, not tia. ETA: Though I do agree with ya 'bout what ya said. I meant new as after the divorce, we've been together for almost 4 years already and I don't have problem with him being strict when it comes to chores and education because I am the same way. Those are their 1 and 2 priorites in our household. They have no reason to resent him he treats them as if they were his own children. Their dad is not in their life (his choice). I wouldn't want to be with a man who doesn't feel the same way I do about running my household. That was the problem with my ex i did everything with my Fiance he shares the responsibility with me even though they are not his kids (he doesn't spank them or anything like that) but I do back him up if he believes their behavior deserves a punishment of some sort. I'm glad he is man enough to step up to the plate and help me raise my kids. In in the long run when they grow up they will understand why he was so tough! Excuse me but they're not his children, they're yours. Discipline is your job, not his. He has to earn their respect and not by doling out punishment as he sees fit. I can see why they'd resent him. You say the kids need to suck it up because you're the parent? Why don't you try acting like a parent rather than expecting someone else to do it? -

How old are your kids? -
I use the one at my local McDonald's. The only thing I hate, because I'm a very impatient person, is the people ahead of me who can't decide which one to get and have to discuss the plot of each movie(including the ones they've already seen) with the person they came with. It comes in handy when I owe late fees for the movies I checked out for free at the library.

Please talk with me about bill pay with my bank
lilac replied to taco_truck's topic in Money Management
I use US Bank bill pay and I love it. I was paying my mortgage payment thru the mortgage company website, they charge $10 for that service. Don't know why it took so long to figure out I could pay it thru billpay but now I'm doing it for free. From what I can tell the "pay date" is the day the money is debited from your checking account and also the date the payment is received by the biller. The whole thing is done electronically, there is no physical check being sent. -
Are products getting weirder or is it just me?

Those mega rolls have been around for quite a while. There's actually an adapter you need to use in place of the roller on your regular tp holder as the "mega" rolls apparently won't fit on the standard tp holder. I got one of thse free for some reason, I've never used it though. What annoys me is you rarely find a 6-roll package of tp anymore. You've got to buy 12 rolls at a time. While I realize that yes I'll use all 12 rolls eventually, I don't like having to store 12 rolls in my tiny bathroom, I also don't like having to spend $8 to buy a huge quantity of tp. I'm only 1 person, it takes quite a while to use that much tp. -
Is this actually a recipe or is it a math question??? I suppose you could come up with 3/8 of an egg if you beat it and then measure out 3/8 of the volume. Not sure why you'd wamt to though.

That's what I was thinking too. I just noticed that. I think you ought to just google "peanut butter cookie recipe" . You're sure to find something with correct measurements that will work out much better for you.

Ever notice how the more you work and the more you think you're getting caught up the more unexpected expenses come up? It's very frustrating.
