  1. I bought a timeshare once because they said it would report as a mortgage on my credit. I was 23 and not thinking straight. 6 months later I threatened them for lying. The timeshare didn't even report to my credit, let alone a mortgage. They took back the time share, and I was out like $1200. Lesson learned
  2. They basically died and then got new investing and CEO.
  3. Press the love button every 2-3 months. Use it regularly. It will grow very fast.
  4. My Blue Cash is about 80 days old. Very light use. Starting CL 15,100. Decided to go for first CLI today. Asked for 30K, instant approval! FICO/8 is 750/760/752
  5. FICO08 MyFICO: TU760 / EQ&EX 752 Care to share some Fico numbers?
  6. Started 15 months ago with $1200 line now I am at $21300 Latest cli today: 17300-21300 My clis are rarely instant. Maybe only 1 or 2 instants.
  7. good luck. It's scary for sure, because you don't want to be embarrassed. But I can tell you there are plenty of people in the same boat.
  8. ymmv with Corporate Card. It depends on the company setup and how big the company is. I was on Amex blacklist and approved for Amex corporate. My brother was not approved for his due to Amex blacklist. I Have employees with a restricted Amex corporate. I basically have to set a limit with Amex . This was not due to bad credit but citizenship status. Any company has the ability to push through corporate Amex regardless of blacklist
  9. I started 1 year and 8 months ago with a 560. 20 negative accounts. Now my reports are completely clean .. average score 760. I bought a house, great cards and limits. Just work hard at it and take it day by day. Screen shot of my journey http://imgur.com/YzeXvKI
  10. Bottom line $7500, this Guy did more than drink champagne and get $20 lap dances. Believe that. It's a bs arrest and will never hold up.

    Citi Luv

Opened Citi Aadvantage just under 6 months ago .. starting line 10,500. Today I get an email that says I might be eligible for CLI. After logging in to site there's a link right on the home page "increase your line now". So I click , enter my income. The writing was clear "this will not affect your credit score". Submit and get $1500 increase. I'll take it. It then gave me the option to request a larger credit line with a hard pull disclaimer. I've read a lot of different info on citi CLI so just wanted to point out my experience for when others hit the 6 monthish mark.
  12. My company uses twn.. made it easier to get mortgage with nfcu. Less paperwork
  13. I just checked , defaulted 10/2008
  14. I pif'd .. I think if you settle, you might have to wait a bit longer, but I didn't test it.
  15. So here's my thinking on the whole thing. I defaulted so much in 2008. A house, cars, credit cards. All I paid back was 9K out of 6 figures. Never filed bk. 5K went to Amex and am happy to be back in their graces among other banks. So in hindsight, 9K is nothing .. What I learned from it all. Don't carry debt. Don't spend more than you have. watch everything
