Black Out Portion Before Sending to CRA's?
worldultimate replied to worldultimate's topic in Credit Forum
Thanks again for the help.Would It be better if I just sent a certified letter to the CA(central financial) along with the previous letter as proof and ask them to delete the collection according to what they previously promised.I could word it saying that the CRA's would not accept your letter as a reason to delete and that the CA has to do the deleting from their end. I will send the CYA letter but I was wondering if I should use this less aggressive method first? -
Black Out Portion Before Sending to CRA's?
worldultimate replied to worldultimate's topic in Credit Forum
Thanks everyone for the help.I have a couple of ways to go about having the collection deleted now s thanks to the replies. My main concern with dealing with the CRA directly is that they might not even believe that the letter is legitimate. It is typed on company letterhead.I know that they could call the CA to check but I'm not sure if they would accept the letter as proof that It is indeed ok to delete the collection..Seems as though they would not want to be bothered with what was promised to a person by a CA..Hmmm.. -
Hello everyone. I sent Central Financial Control a GW letter for 2 paid collections that I had. They treated the letter as a dispute. The positive aspect is that they agreed to delete ONE of the paid collections. This is what the letter says.. "We are unable to confirm that you were properly notified regarding the debt, for account XXXXX.We are in the process of deleting/retracting our collection entry from your credit profile. We ak that you all EX,TU,EQ 30-60 days to process our request from the date of this letter(Jan. 20).If the status of your account does not reflect this change on any other credit bureau report, please provide that particular credit reporting agency with a copy of this letter so they may update this change accordingly." It will be 60 days tomorrow and the collection is still on all 3 reports. It seems as though I should just send a copy of this letter,as stated by CFC but there is also an account that I plan on using the HIPPA process for that was confirmed to be mine but paid.Is it ok to BLACK OUT the results for the confirmed collection and still send this letter to have the other collection removed?OR should I just send the letter and hilight the collection that the CA has agreed to be deleted.?Thanks for any response!!

Thank you.Yeah It feels great to finally get ahead and have a score increase.I had so much negative info removed...2 PR's(fed and state tax lien) and 3 collections but my score didnt budge until now. That was very frustrating but i'm happy now. I hope to see another large score bump at the 6 month mark.My secured plat card is at $1,150 and i will increase it to $2,500 next month.I plan on using it for 2 years to build then close it and get my deposit money back.I will have better cards by that time.

I received a myfico Score Watch alert yesterday and my FICO EQ score increased from 594 to 618..A 24 point jump!! I didn't have anything negative removed. It seems to have increased due to my secured Capital One card(1st revolving account) turning 3 months old.I'm surprised by this since I've read that most score increases happen slowly and over a longer period of time.I'm not complaining, just VERY surprised and happy that my score increased so much with just a 3 month age on my Cap One card.I'm definately inspired now.I guess patience is the key. Also,my score simulator estimated range is much higher for the 6 and 12 month mark(on time payments) then it was when my score was at 594.Happy about that too.I'm not sure what caused it though. My ceiling to increase.Nothing on my report has changed except age. Thanks again everyone.

I GW'd Central Financial Control a few months back for 2 paid medical colletions. They sent me a response 1 month later saying that they would delete one of the collections($25) since they have no proof that I was contacted correctly. They then went on to give the hospital name and date of service. They treated this GW as a dispute and TU has a special comment that says "dispute resolved, customer disagrees"..I never disputed.Does the CRA's consider this an official dispute? My question is..in the letter it said that one of the collections would be deleted in 30-60 days and if not updated, send a copy of the letter to the CRA's.Its been about 40 days and the collection has not been deleted yet.Should I wait the full 60 days or should I send the proof of deleteion letter to the CRA's to have the one collection removed? I plan on using the HIPPA process for the one that has been verified but i want the deleted one to be gone first so that I can proceed. Its frustrating to check everyday and see no update or deletion. I've had a few CA's give me the same 30-60 days delete message and none have taken more than a week to delete.Does anyone recall having a delete take this long? Thanks for any help!

Score Simulator Denial!!Help Understanding.
worldultimate replied to worldultimate's topic in Credit Forum
Im sorry.I should have noted that this is for the fico score simulator that is offered after you PAY for your score at myfico.com.There is no option to remove a collection. My question is asking why would my estimated TU score and EQ score be so far apart since both reports are the same.My TU high will only go to 630 and EQ goes to 684.What would keep that particular score from going above 630?Also I do plan on using HIPPA for the medical collection. Its paid but I will still try.It is with Central Financial Control so It will be tough unfortunately. -
Score Simulator Denial!!Help Understanding.
worldultimate replied to worldultimate's topic in Credit Forum
I recently got 2 secured credit cards(2 months ago) with 2k limits on each.Capital One and Credit Union.Im looking for someone to add me as an AU.Im just wondering how consistent the fico simulator is based off my situation.Especially the TU difference.Thank you. -
Looking at the myfico.com score simulator for TU has become depressing because my score doesn't see much movement until I type in pay bills on time for 18 months. I will give you my situation so that I can hopefully receive feedback. My baddies are a 6 month 90+ late SL from 6 months ago and a paid medical collection that is 4 years old.I know that the 90+ will hurt for a while but my question is about the Fico score simiulator and my estimated future score.I also know that it is an estimation but all estimates for the past were pretty close and this seems to be off for some reason. My TU fico was at 635 last month before my 7 neg SL TL's fell off(1994-2000).Score Simulator said that I could see a range of 635-665(6 months on time) and 645-675(12 months on time). After my 7 SL TL's fell off my AAOA dropped from 10yrs to 3 yrs.Score is now at 610.The problem is that the Score Simulator has my range for 610-630(6 months) and 610-630(12 months)..It only moves to 620-650 at 18 months. Why will it take so long to improve my score after I had a much higher range before the SL's fell off?I understand that AAOA is less but that really makes no sense since my fico EQ has all of the same information, after the 7 Sl's have fallen off with a lower score of 594, and my ranges there are 624-654(6 months) and 644-684(12 months)??Much higher Ceiling than TU. I don't understand how my TU high could be set only at 630 in 12 months when my EQ is set at 684.Any ideas if this is normal? Thanks for any reply.

Anyone Dollar Billed Central Financial Control?
worldultimate replied to worldultimate's topic in Credit Forum
Don't forget a good ole fashion DV may work too You're correct.I paid 2 collections to CFC before i knew about PFD.I then sent a Goodwill letter and they admitted to not sending me proper notice for one of the collections and agreed to delete one of them. The one that remains on my reports was validated by them with the hospital, date of service, etc.Im not sure if this is an official DV though since I never disputed or requested one I only sent a GW and they treated it as a dispute. My TU file has a special comment now that says "customer disagrees"..some BS since I never disputed. -
Has anyone Dollar Billed a Central Financial Control collection.I have 1 paid one and want to know if it has/hasn't worked? And I am aware of the hippa method but mine is already paid and i wanted to get someones experience with a same/similar name dispute first.Seems to me like CFC would verify since they are always updating.Anyone?Thanks.

Those are easy to get off! Do I just need to dispute them online? Any idea how negativley something like these might affect my scores? With EX call to dispute as similar name/similar person, With EQ and TU dispute online choosing the similar name/person option Regarding how much your score will go up...there's only one way to find out Make sure you have fico scores before hand so you can compare after cleaning up your report. OK...I disputed these online yesterday with all three (EX, EQ, and TU). The TU is already showing as 2 of 3 actions completed (I disputed 3 with TU). Any idea if that is good or bad news? I disputed as similar name.... If they came back within 24 hours, they likely came back verified. Disputing online is the easiest, and fastest way to have your accounts verified and makes them hard to dispute in the future. Oh, and you did all the work for the CRA. Disputes should be snail mail, CMRRR. There are threads upon threads upon threads on why you should never dispute online(see one below from moderator Pryan). Slow and steady wins the race. http://creditboards....howtopic=243938& This is not completely true.I disputed a judgement(paid state tax lien) last month online with TU at 9pm and by 7 am the next morning got an alert that my dispute had been completed.Result--DELETED!! EX only took 1 day as well for the same tax lien and EQ took 1 week..All deletes..There is more than one way to have negs deleted from your report and some work better than others.Just do lots of research.

Capital One Secured Card - Has this happened to you?
worldultimate replied to Allkindabroke's topic in Credit Forum
Yep It happened to me when i first opened my account.I was told the same thing since I put 2k on my secured card and most people dont usually put the much.My bank rep actually sounded irritated to be put on a 3 way call for verification. -
Pay the bill if you truely owe it then they will delete after its paid. They are very good with deleting but they must be paid first.Worked for me and many others.Google or search here.
