Those were my EXACT thoughts when I read that. What a waste of money to even send that lame letter to you. FOAD all the way! -
Did not know this. Should go to Costco today and try this. Not at mine. I tried this yesterday and they said that they were not doing that there because there were too many people with the new card. Said just wait 10-13 days for the card to arrive. =(

Anybody know if they will do a product change from the Best Buy Visa to to Costco?

Are those with BK on their reports able to get the 3x CLI? I was approved for my first AMEX (Everyday) a year ago this coming August and tried for a 3x CLI this past January (5 months later) and was denied due to BK. The same 6 year old BK they approved me with when it was 5 years out. Will they approve a CLI with any BK showing? Current CL is 5K. Highest CL of any of my cards is 15K. No negs other than the BK showing and I use the card a lot. Any ideas?

No idea, I could not find anywhere on the page where it said that.

I just logged in saw that too. It states that you have to 'have an active loan in good standing'. We have DH's truck financed through there at like 4.5% We also have a Visa credit card. I'd copy and paste the info but I am having computer issues and lost that ability lately. =/

I totally agree, been trying to help her and get her to join here to learn. She may be single but the mechanic is married. Thanks Marv, figured as much. =)

I agree but I met her just a year ago. I am trying to help her dig out of this pit with info from here, told her what it did for me. Hoping she will join. =)

I figured as much. Ugh this sucks. =/ Thanks for the info.

Hey Marv, I have a friend who's car recently started making horrible noises and when she took it to the mechanic, she found out that it needed a couple of grand in work done. Now, my friend uses her car for work and she has over 300K (yeah 300k!) Miles on it. The problem is that she has a ton of bills and no money at all to pay for the car repairs, and on a car with that many miles you have to wonder if it's even worth it. Think its like a 2005 Chevy and she still owes on it and pays $250/month. The really sucky thing is that she has really crap credit and several lates on the car payment... I really don't think she can get financed but was wondering if Drive took that bad type of paper? Unfortunately she has no family to help her, is not married and has no assets that she could sell. I feel really bad for her because if she can't drive she cannot work and then she will be out of her apt too. Any hope there? Thanks.

Chase, Citi, and Discover, offer these, also. They will deposit, straight into your checking account... no need to wait for mailed check (I don't trust snail mail). Really good info. I currently am taking advantage of their 0% 18 month which is about 5 months into the 18 now. If I use one of these checks does a new 18 month start with that additional transfer? -
