  2. They typically do NOT convert. On rare occasions, WM will. On even rarer occasions you'll hear of an oddball upgrade. Just don't hold your breath... Thanks. I'm stuck with a bunch of store cards. GeCapital/GECRB issues many of the retail cards.. As far as a Visa/MC.... Barclays has Visa available, with their little catches. The first of which is that you need to have another Visa/MC for 6 months, and have CC/Store cards utilization low, under 20% hopefully @ most. They also aren't crazy about a lot of recent inquiries, but if you clear the first 2 hurdles, they will sometimes overlook that recent category. Numerous threads on BarclayCard in the forums Capital One's site has a prequalify (NO hard Inquiry on report) that will tell you if you might get a card. If they say no, then see below. But, I didn't see you mention it, so if you don't have ANY Visa/MC, you will want to do a search on here for perhaps Capital One, or a bank or Credit Union Secured Visa/MC. Once that's been reporting for 6 months, it should open the path for a unsecured real Visa/MC with Barclays. There's more to it than that, but hopefully will point you in the right direction, depending on your circumstances ** PS My Ch-7 D/C 2-10-2012, OrchardBank secured card april, 2012 Barclays unsecured Visa 8/30/2012 $500 Barclay auto CLI from $500 to 2000 @ 5 1/2 months... It can happen... Fico TU 625-643 during that time
  3. You do realize she doesn't work for you, or obligated or responsible in any way to help, or drop what she's doing, correct?
  4. Hey now, I was the one posting the reminder that we're back up over there Just saw so many threads from back in July when we were down for awhile; didn't see as many showing we were back up Larry

  6. Hi all, did as directed, Newbies go here first, saw this quote and was looking for clarification. I understand the Fako VS Fico idea, however, for clarification Let's say this scenario happens: Let's say my Fico is 580, however Trans Union site, etc shows score as a 520 JC Penny pulls a report through Trans Union Won't they go by the Trans Union 520 score?, meaning 'they will see a 520 for evaluation, or do merchants get the True Fico score? The reason I'm asking, is that while yes, I do want to know my true Fico score, If a Merchant doesn't use it, but uses a Fako score from EQ/TU whatever, don't I want to know that one? Still trying to get the conecpt down. Thanks
