When is a good time to ask for first cli? 3rd statement cut? -
I transfer my balance from Discover to cap one and pay the cap one by statement cut. Does anyone see any disadvantages/advantages of doing this? My cap one is pretty much useless at least with Discover matching $ in the first year. I figured I'd max it out every month. Hopes are to get increases on both from a really low limit. No interest if you are thinking that, they go in as regular purchases.

Thanks for the post! I upgraded my 8 year old platinum to QS. It started as a Orchard card or maybe a Journey college card that has been stuck at $500 (although I only asked once or twice). Hoping this puts me in a new bucket.

I can my Express account totally disappear on 1 CRA when Sandy hit many years ago. Reports every month on the others. It's probably a rare glitch but it's worth a mention.

New guy to the Discover train over here! Starting with $2,400 -
$2,400 Discover it. Stoked! I paid off 2 small balance cards that were at 100%. Score jumped from 600 to over 650. Didnt think i would get this with that score.

Do you pay in full every month before your statement closes? Cap1 loves it when you run them up then PIF. Not to the exact amount. Since it's such a low limit I usually make multiple payments. Do you think it's better to make a high single payment or 2-3 smaller payments for the same amount? -

Yes it was my first card 3 1/2 years ago. Kept it around for the AAOA. Thank you. I'm surprised they haven't given you a CLI on it. Do you put much of a spend on it? My Cap1 secured card started out at $200, and now it has a $1,500 limit, it too is my oldest card. I'm sure if you put some spend on it and PIF they will raise the limit. Cap1 has also started graduating some people's cards. I have 2 cap one cards $500 and $750 that have not budged in 7 years. They are my oldest cards and 1 is still a student card. Use them heavily, I've had to easily put 50k through them by now. Going to try for some 0 balance statements or possibly abandon them for a while to see if they move. -
Does Discover offer secured if denied regular card?

Thanks for the feedback and experiences. The 0 inquiry thing is more a psychological thing more than looking for that extra point on Fico. My Fico will be about 650 on this app. 3 open CCs about 7 years old. Low utilization, low limits. 2 closed CCs about 7 years old all on time 10 Student loans about 5 years old all on time 2 CAs over 3 years old 5 COs between 3-5 years old Not sure what to do yet. I might just try for the Discover and if denied and not offered secured give them a call. -
Next week I'll be at 0 inquires and 10% utilization. Also AAOA is going to cross 5 years. It's time to add another line. Will I get offered a secured discover if the regular one falls through? I'll take either but don't want to add 2 inquires.

Collection Disputed multiple time and won't delete... What next?
zeroint replied to wj2005's topic in Credit Forum
You have to get a little more advanced then that. Inaccuracies across reports, and I'm sure others will chime in. If you just disputed not mine 5x online your just giving them time to correct everything and may have closed available way outs. At $500 PFD? -
They used to be last four XXXX. Another thing to note is they vary in length. So it's not just a set number of X's. One of them is so long it messes up the format of the report haha

EQ Backdoor. They were not like that in 2016. Also its only 1 creditor and all 3 accounts with that creditor.

Guess not lol
