Chex Systems?????

I sent in my bankruptcy papers to Chex (faxed) I called a few days ago and they tell me the negative information was deleted. Well tried to open a Personal checking account today and denied because of Chex.. WTH? why are they still reporting negative when they said it was deleted?

It could just be the reports them selves have not yet been updated. They may have deleted from their system but just has not been updated on the actual reports yet. Some banks will call Chex to get more info if you explain to them what's going on but others just flat out refuse.

 

I had a issue with a business account where I changed my company name but it was still the same EIN but the bank requires you to open a new account even with a simple name change. Of course there is a issue because now you have a different name with the same EIN. Long story short bank called Chex explained to them what was going on and Chex refreshed the report with the correct info right away. Other wise the banks computer just would not let them go beyound that even with a manager over ride.

 

Give it another week or two or see if the bank can call them right then and there refresh your report.

If I were you I would get a copy of your chexsystems report to see exactly what it says. They may be getting some of the information from EWS or your actual credit reports
