So I recieved a copy of my Chex report and I am really appalled. My first thought is isnt Chex report solely based off of banking? There are things like public records, evictions, wealth indicators and all types of other things that are irrelevant to bank account problems.I can tell you I have derog marks in these areas but I can say this much.... None of my judgements have anything to do with any banks. Secondly, I was never actually evicted from a residence. I have had evictions filed for late payments of ren but no actual full eviction took place and I used to pay my rent with money orders. What in sam hell does that belong on a Chex report for? This background reporting is a bit outta control.

I have never heard of this happening but it would not shock me one bit. If I were you I would dispute it all

I know that a Consumer report can show all of those things, and that is what a ChexSystems report is -- a consumer report. All kinds of derrogatory info can show up on a consumer report, not just on your credit report. Although I must say I had never heard of anyone in your situation. Maybe it varies depending on your state whether or not things like that go to Chex systems. However, if you have never been evicted, there shouldn't be an eviction or public record on ur consumer report. Most people never check their consumer reports, and probably even more people do not even know most banks use ChexSystems, or even heard of them. What prompted u to get ur report? Did u recently get denied a bank account, and were referred to them? I would contact them, and dispute those things. How old are the items, and do they show when they are scheduled to fall off? If they are scheduled to fall off ur reports soon, you should research it further before initiating any disputes, because it may re-age those items, and keep them there for another 5-10 years.
