Experian has been doing that. They don't like having to deal with handwritten or non scannable disputes.I sent out my initial HIPPA letter about two weesk ago. I am disbuting 3 items. I got a letter from EX today stating "We recieved a suspicious request regarding your personal credit information that we have determined was not sent by you." What went wrong?
Have you opted out??
Have you deleted old addresses if you have moved since the date of service??
Send Ex a brief letter with a copy of THEIR letter to you,( properly typed and sent CMRR) say this:
Dear Ex,
With reference to your enclosed letter of x/xx/xxxx.
This was a legitimate dispute authorized under the FCRA and FACTA
Enclosed please find the following proof of my identity:
Copy of my drivers license showing my name and correct address
Copy of my SS card
An original recent utility bill showing my correct address
Please complete the investigation of the following unknown accounts on my report # xxxxx
( list whatever you disputed)
I reserve the right to file a complaint with the FTC regarding your handling of this dispute and to seek civil action for damages.
Sincerely,
Signature

I forgot to add that I have opted out and since my current address is tied to these accounts, could not delete. Also, should I actually sign my signature? Or type in my name? Just making sure before I mail it out today.

Just got another letter today from EX. I disputed via JA (non medical OC's) for my DH and got the same letter, "We received a suspicious request regarding your personal credit information....." This was typed using black ink and normal font. Hmmm. I dont understand.

You should NEVER NEVER dispute non medical with medical as your disputes get put into the "computer blender" and merged with each other.
You can send the letter I suggested to Ex, but it may not do much good. You will have to wait 60 days for your disputes to be untangled from each other.

Maybe I typed that wrong. Mine was medical sent with a HIPPA. I sent a JA letter for my husbands account which were NOT medical. I don't understand how those would get mixed? Two different people. But for future reference, should I not dispute anything dealing with my other accounts until the I recieve results from my HIPPA's?UGH!!

No, your husband's dispute could not get mixed up with your dispute. What kind of dispute did he send them?? He should follow the same procedure as I told you. Experian is trying to force EVERYONE to dispute on line .Maybe I typed that wrong. Mine was medical sent with a HIPPA. I sent a JA letter for my husbands account which were NOT medical. I don't understand how those would get mixed? Two different people. But for future reference, should I not dispute anything dealing with my other accounts until the I recieve results from my HIPPA's? Yes, wait until your medical accounts have been cleared up
