I was going to buy a 2004 sentra with everything

trade in my manual 2004 cavalier with almost everything

the first number they came back with

after negative equity

taxes

title

etc

was

$476 a month for 72 months.

Some $34K total of payments. That's after $1500 cash from my pocket and $2500 in Nissan rebates.

They pulled a 615 Experian if the used FICO.

amd: they were obviously trying to negotiate based on payment which should be a no no for a consumer.

Establish a PRICE that you are comfortable with for the newer vehicle.

Then establish a value for your trade vehicle that you can live with.

You will probably owe more on the trade just like most of us.

Then you investigate the financing.

Payment will be calculated on the amount to be financed based on whatever rate you qualify for at the time of application

I personally will ONLY drive a stick. I swear TO GOD that as long as I have 2 good legs and 2 good arms and as long as they still make stick shifts I will go out of my way to make sure I only own vehicles with a manual transmission. It is so much more fun that auto, better gas mileage, and it really is not that difficult to drive. But like the say oppinions are like a*******, everyone's got 'em. And I also happen to work for a chevy dealer and honestly a chevy cavalier is not the type of car you want to trade in really quickly. The $4,000 rebates offered on them make the resale value TERRIBLE. I say just stick with it (get it  ) or you will lose alot of money in the process.
