With FICO scores up to 704 - 716 for the first time in about 8 years, I'm looking to open up some credit cards that will eventually have high limits. Ideally I would like to have about $25k available to me on rewards cards so I can put my $4k monthly spend on them without breaking 15% utilization. I don't care about the interest rate because I pay in full.

I have a 2005 BK on my reports but a solid payment history after and nothing negative since then and no inquiries.

I have searched around here for suggestions, and I see people with $20k Citi cards still getting CLI's so I was going to give them a try. I also shop Amazon a lot, and was going to try for an Amazon card too. I realize I'm not likely to get high limits right off the bat, but I don't want to waste my time with cards that are unlikely to ever go above $5k.

I'm looking for a couple good CC suggestions and what can I do once I have the cards to encourage CLI? I realize my average account age will go down, so I'm not looking to go on an app spree.

Please forgive me if this has been answered a million times before.

my first post BK high limit was from a credit union.

CUs often give you a change to prove income and DTI.

Thanks. I had joined a CU in North Carolina post BK to get my auto loan but they turned me down. Now that I'm in NY and more time has passed I'll have to look around and see what's nearby.

I got my high limit cards from USAA $15K (could have got more), NFCU ($20K) and BOA ($10K).
Credit scores were around 712-720 at time of apps. During this same period
AMEX turned me down for a card.

USAA is not an option for me, but BOA is. Also, I found a credit union nearby with a platinum visa rewards with a limit from $15k - $25k that I can try for.
