  1. "Same pig, different shade of lipstick." I think @hegemony used to use that line often, it fits well here.
  2. @hdporter It's good to be back around. I'm happy to see some of the old timers. This site was good to me and I don't forget the people who helped me along the way.
  3. I'm going to try and convert one of my Citi Cards to this card. I'll use it as a filler for what my main cards don't cover.
  4. Thanks! I hate starting a new thread when something is out there. I couldn't find it when I was searching.
  5. hey old friend! It's been a longgg time! Marriage and 3 children have become my priority. I still snoop around the website. Every time I look at my credit score I think about CB. I miss the old days where we we would argue, debate, and laugh over strategies regarding credit. Back then it was You, Trevor, Marcus, Stryker, Bob Wang, and many others. It was a good time.
  6. This is a relatively new card that has sparked my interest: This could be a nice card to complement my grocery, gas, restaurant, and travel cards. In other words, strategically using it in other areas (e.g. streaming, home improvement, transit, etc.). Anyone have this card yet?
  7. I've noticed more in the past month. Unfortunately, based on history, this is a sign that cash might change to points. When it converts to points they can control the value of the points a lot more. In other words, 1 point does NOT always equal 1%.
  8. Citi is encouraging me to convert my cashback to TY points, is this the "beginning of the end" of another good card?
  9. They just gave me a $7k increase. I keep forgetting to check that button more often.
  10. In all seriousness, well I was serious about the dating, but one of the things I treasure the most from CB is making me aware of REWARDS!!!!!! My banks should be rewarding me for my business. I've turned into a cashback/points/miles guru because of these boards.
  11. And CB missed you! Where the hell have you been? CC! I miss those reward threads we used to have fun with. I'll make a post about where I've been sooner or later, but credit and dating had something to do with it.
  12. We don't have enough information to really give you a solid answer. But yes those mortgages could make a HUGE difference. Also, what is the source of these scores?
  13. Explain that one? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk It's an old topic from years ago, I think it was deleted. The board spent weeks laughing at it. To make a long story short, I was dating a beautiful young woman and one night she offered to pay for dinner. I smiled and said sure and then she pulled out an "old orchard" credit card. My jaw dropped. And it was at the time when cards were color coded which indicated their annual fee and potential credit limits, so I had a pretty good idea of what was going on with her credit. Needless to say that relationship didn't last due to some of her financial decisions. Wait....I found it..... https://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=438300&page=1 I really need to start a new topic on this situation. LOL
  14. I learned how to profile my dates based on their credit.
  15. For me it's peace of mind and control. I have 2 out of my 3 frozen and I'm very comfortable with my credit score. There will be no hard pulls by accident, and blah blah blah. I should be inquiry free on all 3 reports.
