I'm renting a home and about 3 weeks ago came home to a foreclosure notice on the door. The auction was supposed to be today, but I called the lawyer's office and it has been adjourned to Dec. 3. My landlady has told me repeatedly that she has gotten the house out of foreclosure and it will not be sold at auction, but for various reasons I don't trust a word she says. If the sale has been adjourned, is that a good indication that she's working with the bank and it might not be foreclosed after all?

Ok, I didn't really look this up, and YOU need to, but If someone says, "This meeting is adjourned until xxx." that means that it is CONTINUED UNTIL DEC 3.

 

But please research your tenant rights in your state. As a renter (at least in Ohio) its my understanding that you have longer to vacate the premises after sale, confirmation, etc.

 

Just research your rights for your state. "tenant rights after foreclosure or some such" should answer your questions.
