Here is a link to a complete and thorough explanation of HIPAA, ARRA and medical privacy rights with links to additional assistance.

The effective date of many of the new ARRA provisions is Feb. 17, 2010. I will be revising the HIPAA letter program and adding new letters and changing others in time for the effective date.

February is going to be a Happy Valentine for consumers.

The effective date of the new credit card restrictions, (Feb. 22) and the increased medical privacy protection, will finally allow consumers to effectively battle the problems with medical debt collection and collection agencies as well as reining in the abuse of the credit card industry.

What can I do to get a medical collection off of my credit report. They keep sending me cr but not taking it off. Saying verified and I have paid it off. Can someone help me take it off my credit report.
