I'm not doing any of the address deletion stuff for my credit report. I only have 1 negetive account, and it's a medical bill that I actually owe, for about $200. I would love to get it deleted. It, of course, is now with a collection agency. Do I send a debt validation letter to the CA? What letter can I send? (I'm in Texas) Also, if they validate, would I send a PFD letter? If it ended up getting deleted, then what do I do with the original creditor negative mark on my report? THANKS!

You can do or not do as you please. If you want to get the account off your reports, then follow these directions.

Opt out

Delete old addresses(if possible) if you have moved since the date of service, be sure to notify any "good" closed accounts of your current address BEFORE address deletions.

Send any CRA where the account is reporting, the initial dispute letter;

If the reporting CA responds to your dispute to the CRA with a FULL accounting of the medical bill and it matches your records, you can then pay the ORIGINAL CREDITOR health care provider with the HIPAA letter, insert "a".

If the account is verified by the CRA(s) without any response from the reporting CA, then send the reporting CA this;

And then send the CRA(s) this.

Medical accounts are not usually reported directly by the original creditor health care provider. They appear with the name of the health care provider on YOUR copy, however all others just show the account as "medical"

The reason for the address deletions and the opting out is to prevent your actions and account information from getting into the "data miner" data base. This helps avoid any possible "poisoning" of your reports in the future.
