HI everyone.

I need some help with the Hippa process.

I paid the hospital not the CA.

Do i send the pre hippa disputed letter to the CRA first.

Or do i send the A DV letter to the CA to establish connection between hospital and CA?

Is it reporting as a "paid" collection??

Yes, you ALWAYS send the "pre-HIPAA" letter first.

Make sure you have opted out

and deleted old addresses IF POSSIBLE before disputing

IT is reporting as a paid collection.

The correct follow up letter to the reporting CA, IF the initial dispute does NOT obtain a deletion is:

http://whychat.5u.com/ltrcavalhipaa.html#PAID

and then the follow up letter to the CRA(s)

Please wait until you have a response from your initial dispute letter from ALL CRA's where the account is reporting before sending the CA the follow up letter, as you will need one letter identifying EACH CRA in the medical DV to the CA, ( in the same CMRR envelope)
