Okay CA sent me a letter saying I owed on all these medical bills, I of course DV'd them, I am one to pay if I owe it but I want to make they are mine and who they are from.

They did send validation, and did send copies of the OC's bills, now I am going to make sure

1. It was myself or someone in my family seen

2. Some visits where covered a little by insurance I want to make sure they where covered right.

At the time our family doctor moved and it took a while to find a doctor that would take new patients (we have one now)

and mostly during the time we had no insurance coverage, we only went to minor care if needed.

dd had strep

dd broke her arm

ds broke his foot

I had a mjor infections

It was a bad year last year.

So do I try to work something out with them, I dont want a garnishment.

As long as you keep paying the agreement you mentioned in your other thread, you're probably not going to get sued or garnished.

Your reports & scores, otoh, are pretty much toast if/when they decide to start reporting - as in, the first time you miss a payment you've scheduled. You've given this CA free reign to walk all over you based mostly on the relationship to the CA you mentioned in another post. Now your only hope will be to try for sympathy with this CA you seem so sure is acting on the up and up with their validations & whatnot.

Pretty much, I guess what I'm saying is I don't think anyone is going to have any different answer for you than we did last week.

I completely understand that you just don't think WhyChat's hipaa process applied to you - but it did, at every single step of the way. The hipaa process is NOT about circumventing monies owed to a health care provider, it's about verifying that the money goes to that HCP, NOT a ca.

Unfortunately, by taking your own steps and trying to make up your own rules as you went, you found out the hard way that the advice given on medical collections is entirely different - hence it's own forum, which as a long-standing member of CB I'm sure you've noticed before this - than regular CA activity. :o

I should have mentioned this is a totally different CA they are not in this area and they also deal with Medical bills.

I'm sorry if I'm coming across harshly today.

When you said you dv'ed them - how?

No problem, I dont always make sense when I type.

They sent a collection letter and within the 30 days I sent them a DV, all it had on the collectin letter was account numbers and a charge so I didnt know what was what or who was who. I did CMMR.

I'm just not sure I'm going to be able to give any direction, as I'm pretty well versed in the hipaa process, but not this.

What did they send back to you?

And I have to know, I can't stand it... WHY? Why didn't you use the hipaa process then?

OK I am really confused....I fell off my platforms and bumped my head again, :D

If this not the same CA that has the Judgment against you and is totally different CA,

than mdw2006 can use the HIPPA process as long she has only DVed the CA.

But the only way to prevent these from showing up on your CR is pay the OC with insert "a" if you don't have the money to pay the OC in full, than the HIPPA Process can not be used.

If they are reporting than the HIPPA process must be used from the beginning.

I'm just not sure what to tell you, I wish we could go back in time before the dv's. :D

Do you have any extra income to make another set of payment arrangements to at least keep them from suing you?
