What will happened if I voluntarily surrended my car? Would I owe any money for the car? How bad would it look on my credit?

Does the vehicle in question have a lein against it?

It goes down as a repossession, the same as if you stopped paying and a repo man came to take it. Very bad for your credit of course, and they will still send the car to auction and you will owe the difference between whatever little it brings and the payoff. The only difference is they might not add a repo fee to what you owe. Or they might go ahead and add something similar.

Could the car be sold for the same or more than you owe? If so you can still sell it to someone to be rid of it and also preserve your credit and not owe any further money.

The amount to pay it off will almost always be less than the total of remaining payments, unless it is a lease. You can call the finance company and ask for a "payoff quote"; that will be the exact amount necessary to release the lien.

Sorry. I make a mistake. I have not fully paid my car.

Well if there's anyway possible try to avoid a reposession. It really doesn't matter whether it's coded as voluntary or involuntary, both are equally bad on one's credit file.
