I followed whychat HIPAA letter program to a T.

I had an unpaid medical being reported to the CRA's by a CA (Professional Finance Co) on behalf of the OC. After doing the medical dipute with no results I paid the OC via the whychat method about 2 1/2 weeks ago. About 1 week ago I sent the follow up to the OC and the CRA disputes after I found out that for sure the funds i sent were cashed. I've heard nothing back yet from the CRA and the OC hasn't contacted me in writing either.

So just today I get a email from Equifax scorewatch. I have a new collection. It is from a CA (Anderson Crenshaw and Assoc). It's very strange, it lists the creditor name as PFC Funding (PFC's website states is deals with medical financing), which means nothing to me. It lists 1st delinquency as 6-2008. i have had absolutely no doctor/dentist visits in the states in the last 2+ years. The creditor classification is RETAIL. HOWEVER. The original amount due corresponds to the the previous medical service that I outlined above. But the account number listed is different also. I'm just thinking it's the same because of the amount due listed and the fact that it's really the only thing it could be ( I owe no one else for anything in my past)

Do I call them to see exactly what they are reporting to see if the debt is valid? What should i do here? I'm so dissapointed with this, i don't know if it's on transunion or experian but I was hoping to clean up my credit report, I'm trying to buy a house next month and can't have this garbage..

Why Chat, What do you recommend? ;)

Thank You! ......Chris

PS.......though you don't ever ask anything for all the help I have found your information to be very valuable in the past months and have taken one of your recommendations on the bottom of your homepage and made a small contribution.

Again, I can't say for sure it's the same, I just looked at it again after calming down a bit and saw that it said "retail" as well (which makes no sense to me). I just think there are too many coincidences for it to not be on in the same. I'm thinking that the one CA sold it off after a year and half to this other CRA.... and now there's a different account number because they have generated one?? I have no idea how these things work, hoping for some clarity and direction.

PS....should i be sending anything to the first CA that I'm disputing with the CRA's presently? even though I paid the OC

http://whychat.5u.com/ltrcavalhipaa.html

and then send this when you have your green card back;

http://whychat.5u.com/ltrcavalhipaa.html#DISPUTE

What kind of response did you get from the FIRST CA when you sent the initial dispute letter to the CRA??

If you went ahead and paid without verifying a CURRENT connection between the OC and the CA then you wasted your $$.

Have you opted out??

Is the "new" account being reported as a "medical" account??

If so, send any CRA where it is reporting this;

If not send the CRA this;

"What kind of response did you get from the FIRST CA when you sent the initial dispute letter to the CRA??" The initial CA verified the debt.

"Have you opted out??"

yes

"Is the "new" account being reported as a "medical" account??" No, it is listed on equifax as a "Retail". And as I found out a few hours ago it is on the experian with no classification and has not been put on TU. The initial creditor is a medical loan place though. The name of which means nothing to me though as I've had no service other than the one which was initially on my account with the other CA

"Was the account deleted from your reports?? If so, then you need not send them anything, if not, then send them this:" It has not been deleted, though it's only been two weeks, I've got no response to any of my initial letters yet, should I give it a few more weeks to see what the CRA's say to the initial letter or go ahead and send now?

Hopefully i can do this, here is a copy and paste of what i'm looking at. I figure it has to be the same despite some different info like the obvious, acct# etc. The last time Profesional Finance reported was 8/2008 and this other one shows opened on 8/2008.....so that's why i'm thinking they sold it to these people....

I was thinking I would call the OC to see what I could find out, but I will do exactly what you instruct me to at this point in time whychat....

Thank you again sir!!

PS, Does this mean they verified? (experian comment below the second account)

It is too soon to figure out what has ocurred, wait until you get a response from the CRA on the follow up dispute letter which you presumable sent a copy of to the OC with the follow up cover letter

So just today I get a email from Equifax scorewatch. I have a new collection. It is from a CA (Anderson Crenshaw and Assoc). I'm just thinking it's the same because of the amount due listed and the fact that it's really the only thing it could be ( I owe no one else for anything in my past) It is POSSIBLE that your initial dispute and the response from the original CA engendered a transfer of the account to another CA for "legal" purposes and the payment to the OC hasn't yet "registered" with either of the CA's

"You paid with a bank money order with the restrictive endorsement and the HIPAA letter insert "a"??." Yes, exactly as you instructed.....I have proof of their deposit from my bank.

"Is the "new" account being reported as a "medical" account??

If so, send any CRA where it is reporting this;

http://whychat.5u.com/hipaadisp.html

If not send the CRA this;

http://whychat.5u.com/initdispltrsol.html "

So should I still do either one of these on that new account or should I just give time to see what happens in the coming weeks as a result of payment to the oc and ensuing letters? ;)
